    Winspear Opera House

    2403 Flora Street, Dallas, TX
    2 reviews

I was a total goober and took the opera house tour when it was available, and I have to say I was blown away at how high tech the place is. Of course it’s pretty, though not overly ornate, but the fact that the ceiling can be raised and lowered for acoustic quality of smaller versus larger performances is just ...

We enjoy shopping at the Quarry because of the selection of stores and restaurants. It is also close to Broadway Blvd and the Alamo Heights District. We enjoy driving through these neighborhoods. We always manage to find something of interest.

    Circuit of the Americas

9201 Circuit of the Americas Blvd, Austin, Texas
    20 reviews

Tagged the most unique Motorsports facility in the United States, COTA is brand new and HUGE! Because of its size, parking is a bear but there is still elbow room on the grounds while you watch very fast cars zip by!

    Highland Park Village

    Dallas, Texas, USA
    5 reviews

When people ask me what Dallasites do, I usually say “eat and shop” and you can do these two things in grand fashion (pun totally intended) in Highland Park Village. Some of the most recognizable luxury brands in the world can be found here including Prada, Escada, Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Tory Burch, and Jimmy Choo. There’s also a boutique movie ...

    Majestic Theatre

224 E Houston St, San Antonio, TX, United States
    11 reviews

The name of this place couldn't be more appropriate. Aside from the fact that it's a theatre, it's truly majestic. Everything from the classic ticket booth to mirror-covered bar to the ornate decorations on the walls makes this place stand out. Because it is a world class theatre, you're bound to see some amazing acts. But this place is so ...

    iPic Theaters

3225 Amy Donovan Plaza, Austin, TX, United States
    3 reviews

It's expensive, but worth it if you want a cinema + dinner on a comfy chair with a cashmere blanket. I have to say, once you try it, you never go back. Check your puritanism at the door tho.

    Flat Creek Estate

24912 Singleton Bend East Rd, Marble Falls, Texas
    7 reviews

We loved to visit the winery for a lunch that we pair with one of their wonderful wines. Rudy and I never leave without purchasing a couple bottles of their wine to take home. The menu has something for our children also.

    4.0 Cellars

    10354 U.S. 290, Fredericksburg, TX, United States
    3 reviews

This was the most diverse of the tasting rooms we went to through Fredericksburg. The people that work there were amazingly pleasant, and were happy to help no matter the experience of the taster with wine. They even provided us with a cooler to store the wine we purchased from the heat free of charge.

This tasting room had the most entertaining sommeliers by far, which made for a wonderful experience. However, we did not find a wine here that stood out as a favorite heads above the rest even though they were all very good.

    The Shops at Willow Bend

6121 West Park Boulevard, Plano, TX, United States
    2 reviews

Great place to do some shopping. Several stores have opened recently that are changing the mall a bit in a good way. The Apple Store is, not surprisingly, always busy. The addition of H&M and Crate & Barrel have brought some new life back into the mall. Most of the stores are typical for a mall, but there are a ...

    Rangers Ballpark in Arlington

    1000 Ballpark Way, Arlington, TX
    24 reviews

A must-do when you're visiting Dallas is to cheer on one of the home teams. Ranger games are a lot of fun, especially on fireworks nights. Bring the family! The all you can eat pavillion is cool, but the Lexus club level is better.

Austin's first absinthe bar, specializes in over the fabled Green Fairy, with more than a dozen absinthe varieties and a lengthy "pre-Prohibition style" cocktail selection. The bartenders are experts, the decor is sophisticated and the dinner menu (changed daily) includes delicious "European comfort food," like veal sweetbreads and dumplings and roasted marrow french onion soup. It's a great place for ...
