I've taken almost everyone of my friends here. Its history, big views of the Colorado River and iconic 360 bridge make it a must-hit spot of many city tours. It's a short drive from downtown. You can ascend the hundred or so yards of steps fairly quickly and chill out at the top, soaking in views of the hills and ...

2026 Lockheed Road, Galveston, TX, United States

Fun place for families. Not as good as the original in San Macros. Still a great fun day. The lazy river however is too dangerous. Goes super fast and is packed and kids getting pushed under by older kids. Went on it one time and was off at the first exit.

We backpacked for a few days during the fall. It is gorgeous and crazy how many seemingly different ecosystems there are. This desert is beautiful, but you'll also find changing leaves of maple trees, salt flats, and even trickling water. We loved this place and plan to go back.
