MasterCard ranked Bangkok as the global top destination city by international visitor arrivals in its Global Destination Cities Index, with 15.98 million projected visitors in 2013. loved the cleanliness and white sand beach. island hopped around with getting our own rented boat. my friend that been to phuket says this is comparable except that it doesnt have much night life. with the few bars, the crowds dont get wild, which is good if you want to have fun but relax as well.

A few months ago I was in Koh Lipe for my vacations. Koh Lipe is sited in southwest Thailand and is a crescent shaped islet at the mouth of the Malacca Strait. For my Koh Lipe vacation I chose to stay in Mali Resort bungalow. The Bali style bungalows of this famous amenity provider are equipped with all modern facilities ...

If you're looking for all that southern Thailand beach towns have to offer, want to avoid the masses looking for the same thing, but yet don't completely want to miss out on the nightlife thing, Ao Nang is for you. Completely across the Gulf from Phuket and just onshore of Ko Phi Phi, Ao Nang delivers all of "The Beach" ...

amed for its diving – shallow waters, easy currents, epic corals and whale sharks pull in the crowds – with numerous scuba-diving schools based here. But much of this small island still has a tranquil get-away-from-it-all vibe

If you get a chance for a day trip from Bangkok to see old ruins, choose the Ayutthaya tour. The tour starts out by mini bus from Bangkok to Ayutthaya and return to Bangkok by boat where you'll be served a great buffet lunch. Its one of the best tours in Bangkok I have taken.

Ko Phangan is beautiful as an island, but there are a lot of factors that detract from it. If you are going to party - you've come to the right place. Just be careful - buddy up, know where you are staying, have a plan if you get separated from your friends. Party responsibly? If you have Not come to ...

This beach town used to be a private getaway for Thai royalty. Nowadays, the beaches are flooded on weekends by Bangkok's young and trendy. Nice beaches, quaint town, good restaurants—a perfect way to spend a few days away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.

Kanchanaburi is a lovely province within easy reach of Bangkok for a day or weekend trip. My favorite way is to take an excursion train from Bangkok. Often it will make tourist stops along the way. Discuss with a travel agent for details. Back to Kan, it is a lovely and diverse province. There is WWII history, river rafting, trekking, ...

Chiang Rai, a village about an hour outside of Chiang Mai, lets you get a bit outside the tourist bustle of its bigger cousin and get a more relaxed taste of north thailand.

Koh Chang is a beautiful island near the border with Thailand and Cambodia. It is a little harder to get to than some of Thailand's more famous islands, and as a result it is a bit less commercial feeling. The beaches here are beautiful - imagine eating fresh seafood curry at a candlelit table on the beach with your feet ...

The province south of Bangkok has some really cool sights if you find yourself in the area, but is probably not high on the list of 'must-sees' when you are in the Bangkok area. I worked in Bang Plee, Samut Prakan for 6 months so I had a few peeks around the area I worked, so if you find yourself ...

Great town, in some ways reminding me of Suzhou, China, due to the ancient city center scape, surrounded by water passages and channels.
