Favourite way to travel from Greenwich to central London. Not as cheap as the rest of the TfL services but still incredibly lush and licensed for alcohol. A lovely way to travel the Thames.

The Thames Clippers are great for trabvelling around London if not in a hurry. Seem to be adding more stops every time that I travel. Excellent access from London Waterloo station (for travel from my home) righht by the London Eye. We made the trip to Greenwich Royal observtaory (Sat 15th Dec) and it's always a great way to approach such a maritime landmark. Below Tower Bridge, the pilot is able to open the throttles and the sense of movement and speed is great. You can sit indoors in the comfortable cabin and take in all of the scenery through the windows, or head for the rear of the boat and become one with London's arterial river.

Looking for an inexpensive way to cruise the Thames and take in some of London's best sights? Hop on a Thames cruiser! It's fair inexpensive and you can even use your oyster card for payment. It may not be San Francisco bay, but the Thames in the sunshine is pretty darn glorious :)

The Thames Clipper boat service, which serves most of central riverside London along a series of piers is not only a unique way to see the city, but often also a very convenient way to get around (certainly way better than the tube!) Weirdly underused - try it!
