Don't let the "Food" part fool you. Nobody here is eating. This is it, folks. West Hollywood's iconic gay bar may very well be the most famous of its kind in all the world (*London's G.A.Y. glares*). You're just as likely to see Christina Aguilera or Brandi Glanville here kicking back drinks with their gaggle of gays as you are to see 1000 perfectly sculpted men in tank tops. Love it or loathe it, The Abbey is gay LA boiled down into a single address.

Ive been to the Alley an abundance of time to say - I LIKE YOU ! I REALLLLLLY REALLLY like you!

No, but really - men with 6 packs frolicking around on poles dancing like nobody's business, what more can you ask for ? Even a couple of girl gogos in the mid section going cray cray with male go gos !

If you are a square and just fear the gays, i suggest you take that stick thats up your ass out! Because this place is def an eye opener, full shock factors and great music!

the only thing is, is that the Abbey is FREE ENTRANCE so place can get EXTREMELY crowded ...like sardines -crowded!

Located in the heart of West Hollywood, LA's epicenter of glitz and glam, The Abbey is every fabulous stereotype you can conjure-- and more. With 4 rooms and a generous outdoor space, several bars, and plenty of space to dance and be seen, The Abbey is a pretty standard (though fabulous and certainly quintessential) LA club.

It's not the most innovative or unique place on earth. Indeed, The Abby comes standard with gogo boys and strong drinks, but if you're looking for a raucous night out fueled by dance beats and pretty people, well, look no further.

    one word: dang!

This place has by far the hottest dancers ever! I love the whole idea. One guy had these cool contacts on and was doing flips through the pipes on the roof!

Not to mention the place is huge! There's a spot for non-dancers and dancers.

The food is pretty good for being bar type food.

I especially loved the key lime martini which is really hard to find anywhere else.

This is my spot in WEHO!

I get why this bar is loved by so many. It is in the heart of West Hollywood and honestly where all the hipsters are hanging, The food and drink prices are reasonable. It is crazy on the weekends but a good tip is to come during the day. The patio is great and it is almost relaxing.

If you want to check out the alternative nightlife scene of West Hollywood, The Abbey is a must! It is the premier gay bar in West Hollywood, and was voted the Best Gay Bar in the World by TripOut in 2010. Elizabeth Taylor was known to visit many times in her later years, and there is an alter to her. Although it is known as a gay bar, it is a welcoming environment for all, voted by LA Magazine as “the best gay bar to bring a straight friend to.”

This place is meccah for us gays....it is world renown. It's decor is great and the ambiance is kick ass. Where else can you see hot male dancers dancing along with a hot sexy woman up on a poll? Drinks are great! The staff always professional and friendly!

Great drinks, great music, great HoT lookin' people, & no cover charge & no pretentious bouncers passing judgment on people (I HaTe that) & just a great fun place for a great time! =) Plus, ladies can dance here without worrying about being harassed by a bunch of guys...

I love the Abbey! One of my favorite spots in West Hollywood. I love the big open space, the patio area for a nice cig, the go go dancers and it's just a jolly gay place!

I never really bother with the food, but the drinks are pricey but it's typical but they're nice and strong!

Oh and if you tip the bathroom attendant you can grab some starbursts! Hell yeah!

Music and atmosphere was good, I though the misters on the dance floor were cool. It was just too crowded, smoky and hot inside and outside the bar.

Yummy, big portioned happy hour menu items, eye candy and reality TV celebrity sightings. The courtyard is really big and is great during summer nights.

These bartenders make a mean mojito - they have all varieties of mojitos - I love the raspberry one. This bar is much bigger than it looks from the outside - it seems like it just keeps on going forever. A tip: there are lots more bar stations inside, so don't get caught waiting in a long line at the bars closest to the front door.

Famous gay bar in West Hollywood on Robertson, just south of Santa Monica Blvd. Also has food, coffee, and/or desserts if you're not looking for a drink.
