I was hoping for something a little different - this is just a bunch of stalls selling junky trinkets to cruise ship passengers.

    Nippers Beach Bar & Grill

    7 reviews

Nippers is a fun spot...Definitely try the buffalo lobster bites! They are not to be missed. Probably the largest selection of Cuban cigars around, and reasonably priced. Fun t-shirts. Definitely purchase the Nipper's go-glass when you arrive and get the free drink and the rest of your drinks will be poured in the BIG glass!

This is where the Eleutheran Adventurers found shelter after shipwrecking nearby. They had fled Bermuda in search of religious freedom. You can visit the caves which are in front of a wonderful beach.

    Glass Window Bridge

The visual effect was spiritual the first time as I approached by car. The deep blue Atlantic was on the left, and to the right, the indescribable color of 100 hues of greens and blues variegated by moving cloud patches and bars of sand.

Worth going to the Marina, you can just visit the aquarium - cost $40. If u have time the theme park could be quite fun. It's a bit pricey but its beautiful inside the Atlantis premisses.

    Club Med Beach

    5 reviews

When I visited this beach it was desert. It is very wild with pink powder sand. It is on the atlantic coast of Governor's Harbour. Waves are quite strong if it is windy. Once upon a time there was a Club Med destroyed by an Hurricane. Now buildings are abandoned. It is also a little melhanconic.

Best protected area on Grand Bahama Island and a true natural treasure at that. It's a great place to see all of the island's ecosystem's in one place, or just enjoy the sun, sand and sea. I want to come back and dive the cave system.
