I love the feel of both the new and old towns of Edinburgh. Both have a lovely feeling of days gone by. I spent almost all my walking time within these two neighborhoods.

This is actually the center of Edinburgh, the modern area filled with branded shops. You have a pretty good view of the Edinburgh castle from here. It was quite festive when we visited as it was the christmas season so there were rides and colourful lights were all over the street

A massive park in the middle of the city where families, students, young and old hang out. There's football games, frisbee games, people having bbq's, sunbathing. Obviously these are mostly summer activities, but even in winter, there's always people walking through or making snowmen
