One does not simply walk to The Beehive. There isn’t public transportation very close by, so unless you live in the area, a cab might be your best bet. But there isn’t a better place to be buzzed on Tremont Street. While the upstairs is small and quaint, a plush stairway takes you to a new world below; a world where bartenders wear suspenders and jazz crooners entertain the revelers from a small stage. The space has a secret, almost speakeasy feel, but this Hive is a hopping one, great for people watching and mingling. Perfect for young professionals in the South End.

The Beehive is one of my favorite brunch spots. The cocktails are tasty and the food is consistently good. The short rib grilled cheese was a heart-attack in the best of ways and I found myself pleasantly surprised by the pierogis. I agree that the food is not show-stopping but the jazz music and the packed bar made the experience quite fun! It's a very hip place to be.

Good spot to catch a quick bite and maybe some live music. Food isn't inspired but is satisfactory and goes down far more deliciously when there's a live band to entertain you.
