Built in the 50s the Beverly Hilton's outside architecture is uninspired ugly. Its interior is a tad more interesting. Nevertheless it remains one of LA's popular celebrity hangouts - certainly there's a better chance of seeing someone famous as you walk through the lobby than walking Hollywood Boulevard.

I love this old place!
It is centrally located in Beverly Hills and the home to the 1st Trader Vic's.
If you arent familiar with Trader Vic's it is the home of the original Mai Tai and all of their exotic drinks are wonderful.
I have stayed in both the Standard Rooms and Jr Suites and both are great.
This hotel is also the home of the Golden Globe Awards so my friends and I snuck into the ballroom where everything is held and tried to act like we belonged...
We were escorted out but you should do it if you get the chance!

And so the Beverly Hilton joins Chateau Marmont in the annals of Hollywood history as being the location of celebrity death by misadventure. It was here that on 12 February 2012, singer Whitney Houston was found dead following a night out. No explanation for her death has yet been revealed, but the singer had a history of drug abuse. It's also where David Frost stayed while filming his infamous 1977 interview with former President Nixon.

Classic hotel located in Beverly Hills where many celebrities have stayed, including Marilyn Monroe!
The breakfast had a lot of variety and tasted very fresh. Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the movie screenings and seating area by the pool.

Not just the venue for the Golden Globes or the final stop for Whitney Houston (the room she died in is not available). The Beverly Hilton is a nice hotel that offers lots of great amenities. My favorite thing about it is the central location -- quick and easy access to Santa Monica, Hollywood, Pasadena, etc. Rooms with king sized beds (overlooking Century City) are tastefully decorated in modern decor and are quite spacious with enormous balconies. The hotel lobby bar is a great spot for people watching.

A classic Beverly Hills landmark, the Hilton is lovably ugly. Trader Vic's is always entertaining, making this a hotel you will want to visit, even if you decide to stay elsewhere.
