Yet another stylishly seductive hotel, The Bonham in the West End of Edinburgh has certainly earned its title of 'Boutique Hotel of the Year,' at the 2012 Scottish Hotel Awards.
This 4 Star Hotel is situated within a series of three Victorian Buildings in a fairly quiet street, within walking distance of Princes Street. With 48 rooms, each individually decorated, you're certain to find one that is 'just your cup of tea.'
Speaking of which, the hotel is also a perfect venue for a scone and a pot of Earl Grey!
Awash in history, the residence once housed 'The Private Clinic' until 1951. Afterwards, it accommodated 62 students in its guise as a halls of residence. In 1997, the residence was converted into a 48-room contemporary hotel complete with permanent art collection.
All of the room are individually designed to suit their high ceilings and Victorian fixtures and fittings. Added to the mix is everything you would expect from a hotel of this stature: 24-Hour Room Service, Minibar, Molton Brown and in the suites there are complimentary sweet treats and mineral water.
For a special occasion, have dinner at The Restaurant at The Bonham then check yourself in.
I particularly liked the suite with the lime green chaise, especially on a day that was overcast and grey!Recommended for:

I visited the hotel recently and loved it!
The rooms are elegantly designed and I really liked the one that had the velvet chaise longue at the window.
The hotel is located on a quiet residential street in the West End of Edinburgh, and it is only a few minutes walk from Princes Street. They have Afternoon Tea in the lounge area and it's a pleasant place to sit and watch the world go by.
The decor is richly decorated and there's soft hues of lilac, velvets and warm wood. I would recommend this place for a quiet weekend away or even just to go along and have a few cocktails with your friends.
The bathrooms perfectly match the building and are simply decorated with black and white floor tiles.
I would definitely go back!
