The Lamb Burger is the best thing about the signature restaurant in the Ace Hotel.
The menu is actually very interesting and the food is delicious so I understand the long lines.
The service though was just OK. It was really all too much for the servers and hostesses to handle.
I really, really wanted to Love this place.Recommended for:

The uber hipster Ace Hotel is one of my favorite hotels in all of NYC, and it having The Breslin as their hotel restaurant makes it that much cooler. LOVE their lamb burger - it's seriously one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. Their craft cocktails pack a mighty punch. The bar area is a great spot to gather - you'll find a lot of locals who are regulars there getting after work drinks.Recommended for:

It’s no secret that French fries served crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, are the golden standard. But this Manhattan hipster favorite goes a step beyond others to assure the crunchiness of its spuds: introducing The Breslin’s thrice-cooked chips. These long, medium-thick slices of Idaho russet potatoes are first boiled, then fried twice in a sunflower and canola oil blend before receiving a dash of salt, and presented either as a stand-alone dish or alongside a feta-topped, chargrilled lamb burger. Only thing left to request: a side of cumin mayo for dipping.

I went last night with a friend who lives in the area. I was skeptical when he described it as a hipster joint, but I was game. I started with an Old Speckled Hen which was fantastic, a real English Bitter, yay! Over the course of the night we each had two beers. We started with the appetizer special of ricotta stuffed squash flowers, which were delicious, but only came with two, pricey at $13. I was in the mood for fish and ordered the mackerel, and loved it, my friend had the Poussin (a tiny bird) he liked it (he'd had it before.) The surprise of the evening was the berry sundae with honeycomb. It was really more of a hockey puck of sorbet with a scoop, of minty/herbed ice cream on top, surrounded by tiny fresh blackberries. OMG it was fantastic. Overall the service was uneven, but friendly. Good luck finding the bathroom, down two flights of stairs then around a corner, down the hall, up a few stairs, you get the idea... For these prices, it should be convenient. The total with tip was $150, spendy, but it is NYC, and I'd say worth it.Recommended for:

Incredible gastropub. We came to the Ace Hotel to sit in the bar and have a drink, but the Hotel lobby was packed so we came here. Fun and friendly bar with great drinks. Then, we saw the menu and how many people were ordering the lamb burger, so we came back for lunch another day and you know what? All those people were very wise.

MANHATTANS and LUST OF LIFE.
Order these and you will be happy forever! A couple of these, you will be slurring and forgetting the person's name who introduced themselves to you . . seconds ago.
Bartenders are decent. Not consistent though.
I liked the vibe here on a Friday night more so than Saturday. Very well-dressed men everywhere. More hipsters than anything else.
Decor is funky but not overly done. Imagine if Paul Bunyan decorated his ideal lounge bar. You get The Breslin Bar.
RECOMMEND the specialties on their cocktails menu. Good spot to meet your friends in the Flatiron/Murray Hill area.
