Ok. Yes. This place is expensive. And I don't say this lightly - but it is so worth it. I've never been anywhere in Napa that made me feel like I didn't actually want to leave to go taste wine, but Carneros does make you feel like there's no reason to leave

As I drove up to this resort, I felt like I stepped into heaven. Their 26 acres are spectacular. You check into your own quaint cottage that has a porch with a rocking chair, wood burning fire place, high ceilings and a shower that can fit 10 people in it. Did I mention the bathroom floors are heated? Just darling. And relax in your own outdoor deck with an outdoor shower. I wanted to move in. Can I?

The Carneros Inn is tucked away in the rolling hills of Napa. The property is made up of well-appointed and very romantic individual cottage units. Can you say "Outdoor Showers!" Oh, heated bathroom floors too (and a real fireplace). Conveniently located at the entrance of Napa, it's a short drive to any one of Sonoma or Napa's wineries and restaurants. But, who needs to leave the property? FARM is spectacular. You will have one of the finest dining experiences right there on the property; helpful when you plan to consume copious amounts of vino! And, in the morning when you wake you have a spectrum of options for breakfast; Boon Fly Cafe and its world famous donuts, full room service in your cottage, or enjoy Hilltop if you are looking for a full breakfast menu. It gets better. The Spa is magnificent; another best in class experience. I refuse to visit Napa unless I can book at least two massages at the Spa. They have some of the most unique spa treatments you will find, including the Huichica Creek Bath; Don't ask, just try it! And, yes there's more. I always look for a nice gym or a nice pool so that I can get a little exercise. Well, the Carneros Inn has both. They have a modern and complete set of gym equipment and a heated lap pool. Of course if you want to just lounge around the pool, they have a pool for that too - overlooking the beautiful Napa terrain. I visit Napa 4 times a year and I won't stay anywhere else. You should check it out for your next trip! Honeymooners take note!

If you're seeking a beautiful, private, quiet place to stay where all your dreams of a relaxing vacation can be fulfilled, pick The Carneros Inn in Napa. Off the beaten path, it is about half-way between the towns of Napa and Sonoma. This makes it a great home base for wine tasting tourists. But if all you want is a romantic refuge, you won't leave the Inn's property. Each room has a fireplace, a private enclosed porch, and a large bath with a heated floor. On the grounds are two swimming pools, orchards, a spa (open to guests only), a fitness center, and two restaurants (one only for guests). At the end of the adults only infinity pool, there is a large hot tub with a view of vineyards and mountains. The quality of service is exemplary. A daily activity sheet will be slipped under your door but you can ignore it if you just want to be alone together. I can't wait to go back.

Oh. Em. Gee. I have not yet reviewed The Carneros Inn? Ok, I LOVE this place. Each hotel "room" is actually a little house. Each little house comes with its own little backyard. And an indoor/outdoor shower. The infinity pool is beautiful and makes for GREAT photo opportunities (reflection shots in swimwear anyone?). We've stayed here twice, hopefully we'll have a reason to stay here again soon!

Probably my top 5 favorite resort experiences... the Carneros Inn is unbelievably picturesque, the staff is very accomodating, the rooms are perfect and I never wanted to leave! Make sure you get a room with outdoor bathtub, shower and fire place. It was perfect.

The Carneros Inn, a Plumpjack Resort, is built perfectly to compliment the local countryside of Napa Valley. It feels like an upscale, luxury farm that celebrates all the organic nature surrounding the property. Located just about an hour north of San Francisco, this is an easy drive to a whole different world.

The architecture is modern with welcoming and elegant décor. Near the main reception area guests can dine at the Hilltop restaurant, relax at the spa, shop at the boutique and be peaceful at the adult only pool. It is an easy stroll to the 86 cottages which are grouped together into neighborhoods. The rooms are comfortable in size and most have private backyards. They also offer beautiful homes for rent, which are perfect for family reunions.

Since this is Napa Valley everyone is guaranteed to eat and drink well. Besides the three restaurants, one of which is the extremely popular Boon Fly Café, there is also a gourmet market. This is the perfect place to stock up on local wine and cheeses then enjoy a picnic outside or happy hour in your cottage. Carneros Inn is certainly an unpretentious yet uniquely sophisticated way to experience this world famous region.

So worth the visit and the money. ONe of the larger resorts in Wine Country. They have everything there and the cabins are so quaint outside but so decadent and contemporary inside. Take a bubble bath outside while your fire it is on or get a nice a nice couples massage. The staff are wonderful there as well. The Farm and Boon Fly Cafe have excellent, fresh quality food. A bit of Vegas vibe at Farm but take your turn at bocce. Perfecto!

No longer quite the Carneros that founder and first President Keith Rogal envisioned in the ten years it also took him to build and at time I got to be among first visitors. Still, a great getaway however commercialized by subsequent owners Newsoms. Great property, room decor with your own private patio equipped with outdoor rain shower, spa that's out of this world, pool with views that you're likely forever to remember, and excellent cuisine. Still, I miss Keith and his touch. (Meant of course figuratively, folks! ;).

Recently I had the pleasure of staying in Carneros Inn while attending a conference there. Such a beautiful place. Not an ordinary hotel but a set of small luxerious cottages with a private patio and outdoor fireplace and shower. Decor is very classy and modern. The surrounding grounds are beautifully done as well. Breakfast was fresh and delightful. Service was great. I will definitly recommend to stay there.
