My husband & I stayed at The Carolina Inn on New Years Eve for a romantic getaway. The hotel was absolutely beautiful. It felt like a place you could live and not just a cookie-cutter upscale hotel. However, it was very eloquent. As you walk around the hotel you see the history of this building b/c they have portraits of ...

Came here on Saturday for NCIAP Peoples Medical Care banquet with all of the top doctors in North Carolina. Great venue. The hall was beautiful and very big, perfect for our event. Staff was very kind and management generously gave a sponsorship for our nonprofit cause. Hope to come again next year.Popular withBusinessFamilies

Hmm ... what do I love more: the breakfast pastries at weekend brunch, or the yummy sandwiches at lunch and dinner? The prices are fantastic, the front patio is generally climate-controlled because of the surrounding walls (cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter), and I always run into friends.Popular withFoodiesVegetarian

Get here early or expect to drive around looking for parking then wait in a long line. The BBQ is good but not fantastic, as are the hush puppies and cole slaw. From the pictures on the wall, it looks like anyone who is anyone eats at Bullock's when they come to Durham.Popular withFoodiesLocalAdventure

By far the best breakfast you'll have in Cary. Amazing breads, croque madame with spinach and the feature latte is always a great choice.Popular withAdventureFoodiesVegetarian

Fantastic and slightly funky eatery on the main street in Hillsborough. The food is mostly Mexican with a Southern twist, and it is really good. I really liked the ambiance (they have a great old bar behind the counter) and the service could not have been nicer. They also have a great logo painted on their front windows.

Beyú Caffé is downtown Durham's prized jewel. From the food and coffee to the entertainment and atmosphere, you're going to have a superb time here. If you love jazz, coffee, and good food, this is the place for you. They have an extensive coffee menu, as well as different types of coffee liqueurs, mixed drinks, and wines. Their dessert case ...

Let's say you could finish one of their peanut butter shakes in one sitting (it usually takes me two or three tries per shake). You'd find chunks of real-live pb in the bottom of each cup. In addition to their 38 flavors of ridiculously rich shakes (I esp like the cheesecake flavors with real pieces of cheesecake), the burgers are ...Popular withStudentsBudgetFoodies

Allen and Son is my favorite restaurant. Of all the places I've travelled and I've eaten, this is where I'd want to have my last meal. They do the best pulled pork with a perfect sauce. It takes a bit to get to, and when I first went looking for it I missed it because it was set back in ...
