The three-story building that now houses this famous restaurant was once home to five governors, two state Supreme Court justice, a future justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, and a future President of the United States. But beyond this, The Court of Two Sisters is celebrated for two things: 1) its old-world courtyard (the biggest in the city) with original gas lights and flowing fountains, and 2) its phenomenal, daily jazz brunch, with a strolling trio playing real New Orleans jazz seven days a week. Oh, and don’t forget to order the divine Turtle Soup when you’re there.

Another NO institution smack in the center of the French Quarter, the courtyard dining here combines a kind of feral tropical elegance with a consistently tasty menu. It's on the pricey side, and doesn't have the name recognition of some of Emril's pet projects, but the atmosphere is wonderful, and I quite like their fantastic creme brulee.Recommended for

The courtyard/patio has such a romantic atmosphere. Tables are underneath an old blue wisteria tree lit up with lights in the evening. The food is good though I am sure there might be better choices for foodies. The bananas foster is quite memorable, though, and once again the ambiance is unforgettable.

This is my favorite restaurant in the Big Easy for Sunday brunch. Don't get me wrong. There are so many great brunch places. But when you can enjoy sitting in one of the French Quarter's courtyards while drinking a mimosa, you are certainly having a one-of-a-kind experience.
