Seafood is as fresh as can be. If you want one of the best lobster meals you'll ever have I recommend Crab Cooker. They remove the lobster from the shell and cook it on a skewer and whatever they put in their potatoes is addictive. Also, they have good ol Manhattan clam chowder. Best of all - everything is on paper plates and in plastic cups - never pretentious! YUM!Recommended for:Foodies

Famous seafood market and restaurant in Newport Beach that boasts the world's famous clam chowder. It definitely is some of the tastiest Manhattan clam chowder I've ever had. The combination plate is great if you're looking for some variety. The lobster special reeled me in and it was indeed delicious.

Yummy! This place did have good clam chowder!
Got the combination plate... it was good! Very little tho. I eat a lot. You think it's big, but it's really not. SHRIMP, SCALLOPS & CHOICE CUTS OF FISH, ON A SKEWER
Crab Cocktail... you need to put a lot of butter on it. But it was good... :D
But I always recommend the chowder!
Pretty nice. Standard.
Near the beach so very beachy. The design is suppose to be sea-ish and it's cute. A lot of older people are there than younger.
There is parking, but limited.
Overall... pretty good

Great seafood, though a little pricey. It's right by Newport beach and it offers fresh seafood. Portions are a little small, but it still gets you full. I've had some of the skewers (scallops, fish, etc) and they are tasty and fresh! Staff is really friendly.

The Crab Cooker offers delicious and fresh seafood in a very non-pretentious environment (this is not the Real Housewives country). Their chowder isn't typical, with large strips of clams and chunks of potatoes in a red sauce. Their fish salad is great and so are their scallops. Very reasonably priced. Expect a wait in the summer, but there's lots to explore nearby so it's not that bad.
