Second best hotel on Fremont St. Next to the Golden Nugget. If you don't plan to swim or are coming when it's colder stay here for sure. Clean, just renovated.

The D is a modest but cute hotel in downtown Las Vegas right next to the Fremont Street Experience. Our room was comfortable. Only 3 issues on our trip: leaky hot water handle on bathroom sink; at least one elevator was often out of service; the bell desk didn't answer the phone when we needed our bags, so we finally had to contact the front desk. Otherwise, great place. The food in the coffee shop is yummy.

The D is the new kid on the block along Fremont Street. It had a totally different feel from all the other casinos in downtown. The D felt young, hip and cool. Bartenders, waitresses, and card table dealers were all younger set. I really liked the EDM they were playing all night long. It felt like the Strip with good-looking go-go dancers on podiums in between gambling tables, but left the air of big money and arrogance outside. Patrons were generally younger as well and appeared to be having a good time. Slots and video poker at the long bar on the first floor proved fruitless, but I enjoyed watching the bartenders juggle liquor bottles whilst making drinks. They made eye contact and were friendly, putting on a good show even when business at the bar was slow.

Small perk: $3 of free slot play when you sign up for a new players card.
