Lovely hotel but owned by the Sultan of Brunei who is supporting legislation legalizing the stoning of gays and lesbians. Boycott Dorchester Hotels.

Great! Smart, good cocktails and entertainingly camp. Can't go wrong on 40th or hen night! People watching is not to be beat, and the staff is friendly if not as well plugged in with reception as you might want.

This may not be the cheapest place to go to for a men's haircut or shave, but then it's not every day you get to sit back in the fine surroundings of a mahogany wood panelled shop being made presentable by barbers in smart uniforms. Plays heavily on the nostalgia card but boy is a shave here a good tonic ...

Had to come here when I lived in London because I was running out of pages in my passport (those were the days!). It was clearly built in the 60s/70s and there is a crazy structure of fencing that makes you feel like you are entering some kinda war zone.

Busy, busy, busy. I can certainly see why they call it a circus! It was neat to see but not all that interesting in general. I would suggest stopping for a pint in the area to really enjoy the madness of the city.

Beware the aggressive squirrels! It may look like a calm and peaceful patch of green in the middle of a metropolis, but look out for the feisty furballs in the trees. They want whatever it is you're snacking on, and they'll stop at nothing to get it!

The museum I visit most often. Surely one of the best places to visit in London - situated right on Trafalgar Square, it is completely free to get in. An incredible collection of art - head to the earliest stuff and work your way through the centuries to the Twentieth Century, ending with Van Gogh's Sunflowers, Cezanne, Klimt. The Leonardo ...

It's famous and well-known, exciting to watch once but you'll never need to again, and if you don't get there early you might as well leave. A perfect tick off your travel bucket list.

I lived in London for 2 years, and insisted that everyone who came to visit for the first time set aside a day to do the hop-on hop-off tour with the Big Bus company. It is the best way to get an overview of the city - the guides are knowledgeable and know a lot about all of the history, ...
