This hotel is old Historic Property in Boston.
It has been around as long as the city so you get a real sense of history just walking around.
The standard rooms are some of the largest I have ever seen.
Really you could do somersaults that is how big the rooms were.
This is a great hotel for businessmen as it is in the financial district or for a couple looking for a romantic getaway.Recommended for:

I haven't stayed overnight at the Copley, but I did attend a function held in The Grand Ballroom which was, to say the least, breathtaking. The crystal chandeliers, balconies, and gilded framework make it seem like something straight out of a Disney movie. If you're looking for a place to have a wedding or wedding reception, this space is something to consider.Recommended for:

Obviously there’s lots of historical background to this place (it’s celebrating its 100th anniversary in August), and if you value that you won’t be disappointed. There’s a host of sensational architecture and showy features, including, of course, Catie Copley the hotel dog (who seemed bored stiff when I was there). The fitness center has a decent amount of workout machines (and a killer view!), but there’s no pool and frankly, I thought it a little small considering it took up a whole floor. There are a lot of different customer services offered, and the bellhops (in my experience) were friendly, though a little dismissive. The bathroom was a kind of cramped, too. In general, I don’t have too many complaints about this property but there are other hotels in the area that are more down-to-earth and better for your money. I’d mainly recommend this place for people interested in the name and history of it.Recommended for:

Quite frankly I was quite let down by my stay here. Despite all of its cute features, such as the brick facade and the black lab that lives at the hotel, service really wasn't too impressive and the worst part was the there was no free internet access! I had to pay $15/day just to get online. This is a real pet peeve of mine. Also, the rooms are small and definitely maintain that "old and rustic" feel, consistent with the hotel. I've been told that there are ways around the internet fee but too late for me to do anything about it. If all you care about is location, then I think there are better options in the Back Bay.
