The Farm Cafe

10 Southeast 7th Avenue, Portland, OR 97214-1244, United States

1 review

Specializing in local farm-to-table fare and microbrews, the farm tries to recreate a rural ambience in an urban environment, and they do quite a good job at it. Popular eats include smoked salmon deviled eggs and pan-fried trout, as well as plenty of vegetarian-friendly options. They also serve beer, wine, and cocktails and even make their own bitters in house.

This is one of the best dining experiences you can have in Portland. The restaurant is really quaint, so I would advise recommendations or be prepared to sit at the bar. I sat at the bar and loved it because I was able to see my food being prepared. The chefs are extremely skilled and serve some amazing dishes that ...

    Doug Fir Restaurant

0.08 mi from The Farm Cafe
    4
    9 reviews

The Doug Fir is named after the state tree and with its cosy, wooden pannel interiors it looks better suited for a winter ski resort than for its industrial close-in eastside location. The bar is decent and they have really good shows in their basement venue. It's a good place to catch local and international acts before they make it ...

This is one of the best places to get casual Lebanese food in Portland (and lots of people know it, so go early or plan to wait). The food is better than average, especially the za'atar served with pita, the hummus, and the tabbouleh (heavy on the parsley), and the portions are HUGE.

Interesting menu with a whole lot of simple, no-nonsense dishes. I really liked the concept of the fried kimchi but ours came really salty (maybe the covered the already salty kimchi with salted batter?). Ramen came a little salty too but overall the taste for both dishes were pretty good. I would come here again hoping that the chef that ...

The restaurant is located a bit out of the way, but it's a good-sized spot for a quick meal. They sell plenty of bottles of the famous sauce, as well as other notable dishes like the signature chicken and rice, pork and rice, as well as chicken skins. They also have ice cream? What! Amazing.

Apparently this place changed hands fairly recently and is not as "cool" as it used to be. Anyway I liked the option of design-your-own mac and cheese, and it was tasty.

Voodoo Doughnut is a Portland signature spot to visit. Their donuts are insanely huge and interesting. They have sex-themed donuts too, and lots of cereal crusted ones as well as the the ever-so-popular maple bacon bar. I'm not a huge fan of sweets so once was enough for me. They are open late night which suits the party crowd who ...

Who ever though food from a cart could be so good?! In Portland you can have gourmet on the go and a good price at that. They have a food cart for any and every kind of food you could imagine! Even incredibly inventive fusion styles like Koi's Korean Mexican or Viking Soul Food! Portland is very health conscious so ...

I enjoy coffee day or night and made a point to come here. The nitro cold brew coffee was excellent, poured from a tap behind the counter. Smooth and creamy, similar to drinking a Guinness. I also tried a hot latte, but did not like the coffee flavor of the light espresso roast used. Light roast is not my favorite. ...

GREAT HAPY HOUR AND VIEW OF THE CITY! Located high up in one of the largest buildings right in the middle of Portland. I got a map that told me about all the places to eat within an easy walk of the Convention Centre. Since I wasn't in the mood for Red Robin or Applebee's, I took the Trimet into town and decided to try Huber's Cafe. Huber's was established in 1879 and only 20 years after Oregon received Statehood.
