    Terroir Restaurant

    4 reviews

Excellent food in an intimate atmosphere. The wine was superb as well. After a weekend of wine tasting in Stellenbosch, this was the perfect restaurant to sit back and enjoy a last evening with good friends over a fine meal.

    Rust En Vrede Restaurant

My go-to spot when I want to feel like a queen. Everything from the food, wine, service, setting, decor is phenomenal. I have not been there since David Higgs' departure, but will be visiting again soon.

Great wine bar and Lebanese restaurant with outdoor seating and blankets to keep you warm. Lots of fun. We went there twice and loved it. Also awesome art on the walls.

    Restaurant in the Vines

    1 review

We didn't have the pleasure of eating here but our local host had us drop by so we could see what we missed. I can't vouch for the food (which is supposed to be excellent) but the views here are absolutely stunning. Even if you don't eat here, stop in for a drink or dessert. Absolutely lovely. Really wish we ...

    Sofia's Restaurant at Morgenster

One of the best meals we had in South Africa. Great service, fantastic wine, delicious. They even opened an extra room for a table of four when the main area was closed!

    The Big Easy

    1 review

Good but not great restaurant. Reasonably priced. Liked it better for a banquet rather than a foursome. Good game, quality steak, seafood a little less impressive. Good wine list.

Restaurant 1802 @ Oude Werf Hotel

Great restaurant with European African cuisine. Nice outdoor dining area. Better than the big easy around the corner.

    Manuka @ Southeys (Somerset West)

    1 review

Very nice meal at affordable prices. We ate their in the middle of winter so the outdoor area wasn't open, but the food was excellent (especially the bok and the salads) and the wine was very good. Service friendly.

    Le Bon Vivant

    1 review

It’s almost hard to eat the artful plates, like springbok, at this Dutch restaurant in the center of Franschhoek. Friendly, accommodating service and an open kitchen are extra bonuses at this cute, little restaurant.

    Mange Tout

A perfect Franschhoek evening: watching the sun set over the valley from Mange Tout’s circular dining room at Mont Rochelle. Try West Coast crayfish and grilled kabeljou, while listening to Alfio play classic tunes on the piano. If only the service were as flawless as the setting and the meal.

    Moyo Restaurant

Chain restaurant at the Spier wine estate. Very kitschy, but the food is good. Caters to large functions. Cheesy gift shop, but nice al fresco dining....

    Dros - Stellenbosch

    1 review

Dros seems to be the South African version of TGI Friday's, serving steaks and burgers. There are oddly named sauces, such as "Monkey Gland" and "Sweet Lips". Those probably mean things to the locals.

    Old Bridge Tavern

Good pub in Somerset West that caters to the locals. Plenty of tables inside with nice outdoor area as well. Reasonably priced.
