Not too expensive for its location, and it is definitely a hotel with personality! Bathroom wasn't so good, water escaped from the shower area during bath.

Honestly can't think of a better greasy burger I'd rather eat. The line at Madison square park can get insane. There's several locations throughout the city that will be quicker but the setting at the park is awesome.

Amazing food and quality Italian groceries! However, this place is always packed, and you almost feel as if you're being herded between areas. That said, if you're willing to fight the crowds, it's well worth it.

The Breslin is a gastropub through and through. It’s a popular lunch/dinner spot, but the breakfast can be a nice change of pace from the usual eggs benedict brunch that rules the market. Black pudding anyone?

I love the coffee they serve here, almost all varieties. I think the highlight though is the beautiful sitting room they have behind the shop which is shared with a few other stores. It is dimly lit, with massive furniture and resembles a living room in a Middle Ages castle.

Decadence. That's how food should be. Live to eat. (until you start living in your yoga pants). Gorged myself at Les Halle's, former haunt of Bourdain. He has unfortunately gone onto to bigger things, but the quality of this place has not budged. Foie Gras, bone marrow atop shiitake mushrooms, steak and fries, and copious amounts of wine. I'm bringing ...

Eleven Madison Park is one of the best restaurants in the city, and it is unique as the one top-tier restaurant that really tailors their dishes for each diner. For each of your four courses, you select the main component, as well as tell your server if you have any allergies or dislikes (I have many, and my server wrote ...

The new HOTTEST restaurant/ hotel in NYC, hard to get a reservation, but impossibly delicious, the NoMad Restaurant at NoMad Hotel is up there with the likes of Daniel and Eleven Madison Park. Elegant, 5-star and worth a visit. My boyfriend and I had a great time trying the eclectic cocktail menu... the Hot Kiss was a favorite of mine. ...

Finally made it to Blue Smoke last night and was extremely pleased with the overall atmosphere and dining experience! As a New Yorker, I sincerely appreciate when a restaurant is not only bigger than the size of my apartment, but also adorned with high dynamic ceilings. Blue Smoke is equipped with a great long bar, making the wait very pleasant, ...

Great place for date with girlfriends over wine and chocolate. I suppose this could be a great place for date with a potential or already significant other as well. This newcomer is already on my must-go list of places in my Blackberry. I think this Polynesian place is in one of the coolest rooms in NY. From the outside, it looks like 1920s pure glamour with draping white curtains and a white revolving door. Step inside, and you’re in a tropical paradise. They spent some serious cash on this ...

Substitute the Seine for the Hudson, and you could be in a Left Bank brasserie; Millesime’s ornate crown moldings and red banquettes hearken back to those 1920s Hemingway haunts. Even the cocktail menu is a trip through French history, with appearances from Coco Chanel, Honoré de Balzac, and Napoleon (listed under Short and Potent). Michelin-starred chef Laurent Manrique oversees this ...

Is this the kind of cafe that's good for socializing or is it better for working and studying? Both. There is a more typical cafe downstairs with a mix of coffee, pastries, salads and sandwiches that is more on the social side, filled mostly with local professionals. Upstairs is the library, which is made for laptops and reading and tends ...

Pros: Great food for what it's known for, good ambiance, pretty good service, like the dark feel of this over the brighter decor at the west side location Cons: Long wait Menu Suggestions: Hirata ...
