About 20 minutes from the Pacific Ocean in the Los Penasquitos Canyon lies the Grand Del Mar. While guests truly have no need to leave the resort, it is perfectly located with easy access to downtown’s shopping, La Jolla’s restaurants, Legoland, Sea World and the world famous San Diego Zoo.
This resort is a perfect getaway for romantic retreats, quality family time and especially golfers. The Grand boast one of the finest courses in San Diego, which is exclusive to hotel guests. They are now offering an exciting package where guests can indulge in both their course and Torrey Pines – truly an incredible opportunity.
With 294 guest rooms, there is ample space at the Grand. For larger families that want to stay a bit longer, perhaps over the holidays or summer break, they offer eight villas. During the day, guests can entertain themselves by taking horses on trail rides through the hills, lounging by the pool or practicing their tennis. After a day in the sun, guests can then enjoy San Diego’s only 5 Diamond restaurant, which is located on the property.
This truly beautiful, upscale property with attentive staff makes this an elegant weekend away, or a full fledge family vacation. Whatever the occasion, you are sure to create special memories that will last a lifetime.Recommended for:

What a beautiful hotel and what an amazing golf course! I came in town to go to the track and play some golf. Lost at the track but won at golf. Sure wish it was the other way around. The very professional staff was able to provide me with service to and from the track, and to and from the beach for my kids. Everybody wins!Recommended for:

Located amidst Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve, this luxury, 5 Star San Diego resort is a destination unparalleled by San Diego hotels and lauded by Condé Nast Traveler as one of the "World's Best Places To Stay". Play the exclusive Tom Fazio Golf Course. Party at on-site dance club and bar, Club M. Eat at their 5 Star/5 Diamond restaurant, Addison. Horseback ride at the equestrian center. Hit some balls on the tennis Courts, enjoy complimentary classes at the Fitness Center or swim in one of the four sparkling pools. It's never a dull moment at The Grand! The service is impeccable and the quality is one-of-a-kind. This place is a MUST SEE!Recommended for:

This place is absolutely luxurious! I felt like a goddamn princess here. When you first drive in, the hotel is absolutely striking; it feels like you’re pulling up to someone’s private villa in the Mediterranean. This feeling sticks with you when you get inside. Everything that looks antique in the Grand Del Mar is, even the marble (which is everywhere) is real Italian marble. They spent $250 million to build this place and even brought in one of the top golf course architects in the world. I didn’t know those existed. It also has the only five star spa in San Diego. You wanna feel like a baller? Stay at the Grand Del Mar. I can’t even believe they let me in the door.Recommended for:
