Note: Forget the "driving distance" listed by some ignorant software.
It's about 20 minutes away.
If you are shopping downtown Charlotte Amalie this is a casual restaurant/bar that's easy to spot right on "front street" along all of the shops.
Map is incorrect, it's right on Veteran's Drive, along the waterfront.

This simple, small hotel was built on a verdant hillside (iguana habitat) that is a 10 minute, 99-step walk to downtown. Some of the ‘70s units have had some needed upgrades, particularly their kitchens. An upgrade in progress is new lighter weight spreads in neutral colors, with colorful sheets -- blue, green and yellow- with matching throw pillows.
This safe haven is popular for a variety of reasons: for its prices; its cleanliness; for the camaraderie generated by the expat’ managing couple. B.V. Islanders stay here and military whose daily allowance does not allow for a rental car.
The Green Iguana gets high-flyin’, on-line reviews from well-pleased guests. What it does not have is a pool, a restaurant or a bar. It boasts strong and free WiFi and LCD TVs with dish channels. Nocturnal views from the balconies are sparkling. It is a good place.
