Just a few blocks away from Terry Lane....The Green Parrot is more than a bar; it is a Key West icon; it is Key West. It has been so many things, to so many people, for so many years. And that spirit will never change. On the southeast corner of Southard and Whitehead streets, diagonally across from the Monroe County Courthouse.

Very fun and relaxed old pub off Duval Street. Tons of history and atmosphere, along with great live music. Also one of few places in downtown Key West with a few craft beer selections on tap. They had both Sierra Nevada and Dogfish Head - after two nights of nothing but rum drinks, I was in heaven!

Had a fun time here...we went around 3pm in the afternoon on a Wednesday, so naturally it was pretty quiet. The bar tender was pleasant and made decent drinks. The "jungle juice" house mix thing was the special of the day and it came with a funky plastic souvenir cup, which was pretty cool. Best part about the bar was the atmosphere. I get a kick out of dive bars with a historical flare...and this one was no exception. There were awesome paintings on all of the window shutters and a huge WWII "looking" parachute hanging over the bar. You could spend a long time just hanging out and looking at all the random stuff they had hanging on the walls. It's definitely a place to go for the experience.
