I genuinely like this mall as it's very clean and well maintained. As some other yelpers mentioned, it does have that Disneyland feel to it, which likely contributes to the overall charm and appeal. Complete with a wide array of shops including but not limited to Barnes & Noble, Nordstroms, and Apple, this outdoor mall has something for everyone.
Now my decision to give The Grove 4 instead of 5 stars is soley based on the costly parking situation. $2 for ever 15 minutes past 3 hours? Ugh... That's highway robbery and their website lied! Online it stated $1 every 15 minutes past the 3 hour mark. Curses!! *shakes fist vigorously* But Luckily if you're diligent with your time (unlike me) you will be able to still park for free given that you can shop/browse for less than 3 hours.
FREE 2 HOUR VALIDATION AT NORDSTROMS (no purchase necessary)! The parking structure will provide a complimentary one hour parking and if you take a stroll in Nordstrom's women's shoe department you can take your ticket to the small blue/creamish color machine at the back of one of the cashier's desk. It's self-serve, so no worries on feeling awkward.

The Grove is a modern, outdoor mall that is fun and trendy!
There are a host of restaurants and popular stores.
There is a cable car that will take you all over the mall.
It is connected to the very famous Farmer's Market and a great way to spend the afternoon.

It's a great outdoor shopping mall, but I personally find it more exciting for Mario Lopez's Extra! show taping. Passerby can be part of the show - just join the gathering crowd before a segment starts taping (or during, but you'll be at the very back) and get up close with the celebrity guests. I was 5 feet from Hilary Duff, and got to interview Richie Sambora (Bon Jovi guitarist) for the show! They'll always pick a handful of people in the crowd to ask the celebs questions, so definitely try to be a part of this. It's an unforgettable experience!

I love The Grove for its unique shopping experience. It's an outdoor mall and there's a range of shops. When you get down to the Farmers Market end of the row, you'll come across the area with all of the food stands. There's quite the selection to choose from, so you're bound to find something. You're also in the middle of the Beverly Hills area!

who hates the grove? i'll tell you who - unhappy people.
if you are a happy person you will love the grove. granted there are times you should go and times you shouldn't if you want to still believe in humanity but that's because everyone loves the grove. it's not just a mall. it's the epicenter for everything that happens in LA. celebrity book signings, concerts, first dates, meetings, it's an experience.
