This hotel really hits the nail on the head (for me, anyway) in design. The rooms are big, light and airy, with white sheets, wood floors, and rustic muted green and red touches. I would decorate my house kinda like this. It's small, so the service is personal and attentive, and the vibe is luxury but not stuffy. You do have to pay for all this fabulousness, but this is one splurge that may be worth it. Loved it!Recommended for:

The perfect luxury getaway for 2. Spend 3 nights here, twice in 2009 and 2010. Very Feng Shui, easy going and friendly staff (they made print outs of my fav Dutch newspaper every day). Beds are awesome, design is minimal and instantly relaxing, the rooms are spatious. It is not cheap, but well worth the money. One minus: the shower cabin in one room has a 2 foot diameter shower, that stuff blinds you.Recommended for:

An uber hip, secluded boutique lodging hidden amidst Bayswater and Paddington districts in Central London. The modern lobby with its tall ceilings and neutral décor is incredibly Zen and welcoming. All of the hotel fifty (50) individually designed guestrooms and suites have high ceilings, incredibly comfortable beds, and stunning marble bathrooms; some feature four poster beds and freestanding bathtubs. While the No.35 Restaurant serves seasonal European flavors on a perfectly chic ambiance, the No. 31 Bar offers superb cocktails and light bites on a trendy atmosphere. A perfect space to enjoy Afternoon Tea is the large private Zen Garden facing the hotel. The service is impeccable and Wi-Fi Internet complimentary. And, the rose petal turndown service included in the Lover’s Passion package is an especially memorable treat. The hotel is situated near the popular sites such as Hyde Park, Paddington underground/rail station, the Kensington Palace, the lively Bayswater district and trendy Westbourne Grove.Recommended for:
