Beautiful hotel! I came here for The Penthouse restaurant, but was able to experience the lobby and the valet situation.
Really narrow so be careful of people standing too close to the middle or just clueless people.
People also tend to crowd around the main entrance of the hotel because they're waiting for their cars. They could've redesigned that area a bit better.
Very modern. Love the wall of piranhas coated in white paint! The lobby would make for a nice photoshoot here :)
The hotel is a block away from the beach, and is close to Getty and 3rd Street Promenade!Recommended for:

had a business event in the area and they comp us a room at The Huntley Hotel. It's a small contemporary yet elegant boutique hotel in Santa Monica. The rooms are chic and modern style, the lighting are bright, and It's view of the beach and city is phenomenal. The bathroom and shower were very clean and beautiful and spacious. Although rooms were small but did NOT feel like it was tight and everything was just being squished together like some small boutique hotels in L.A. The hotel is walking distance to the shops and 3rd street promenade. But if you don't like to walk, take your car.
This is one upscale hotel that has exceptional employees with great welcome attitudes!
I have a very chatty father who loves chat and befriend with EVERYBODY! (VERY CHATTY.. lol!) The employees and managers from the Penthouse restaurant to the staff in the lobby of the hotel were so friendly! No snobbish, conceited attitude was acknowledge. They didn't mind spending the extra few minutes to chat with their customer.
I love the little Victorian garden they have for you by the Valet. You can enjoy the garden while you wait for your car.
I am disappointed that there is no swimming pool in this hotel!! Just a small gym area that seems like nobody goes there. So sad! The rooms are pricey!! I just wished they have promotional rates for Los Angeles residence because I would definitely love to come back and stay here for a night or two to just get away from the everyday life sometimes

The Huntley Hotel is one of my favorite hotels in Santa Monica. You can't beat the location. It's a block away from the 3rd Street Promenade & while it's a block away from the beach, you will still experience one of the most spectacular views of Santa Monica & the Pacific Ocean from the Penthouse level of the Huntley. Also on the PH, is a very happening bar & restaurant. I have attended many bday celebrations here, including my own. Happy hour here is one of SaMo's best as far as the scene goes. The martinis are also very memorable. The food here also stands on its own & never seems to go out of style. It's also the best way to take in the Sunset with the Penthouse's floor to ceiling windows & 360 degree breathtaking views. You'll feel like a rockstar here, whether in the PH or just hanging out in their ultra modern lobby. It's quintessential LA here with its see & be seen LA vibe, but if you just want to get away from it all & have your privacy, The Huntley has that too. Just request a room with a view & enjoy California dreamin on such a winter's day, or any day for that matter.Recommended for:

Really breathtaking views from the Huntley hotel. He hotel is only a block from the beach and it has a classy ambience with a chic modem twist. Check out the penthouse restaurant at the top floor of the hotel for a 360 view of la!Recommended for:

This place is SO LA, very contemporary and chic. Very "will I run into a celebrity?". In LA, location is everything because traffic is everything. Santa Monica is a great place to be- not too far from Hollywood, on the beach, and lots of great restaurants and bars. Furthermore, this is an ideal location in Santa Monica.
The bar scene here is pretty fun, although extremely LA and by that I mean stuck up vibes :)

This place is everything you think you are in for when you think of modern hollywood chic - there is a lot of white decor, a mixture of modern and art deco. The hotel is just a couple of blocks away from the beach and the Santa Monica Pier - so it's one of the few walkable neighborhoods in LA. At night, the penthouse bar/restaurant is quite the scene. You have amazing views of the coast on the outside and all the stereotypically beautiful people of LA on the inside.
