This is one of my favorite bars in Philly. They show many of the EPL games. I go here more than any other bar except for Fado. The owner Eamon is a great guy. Stop in for a pint.

Spirit of Philadelphia offers lunch and dinner cruises with entertainment. I went once a few years ago – that was enough. Lunch buffet wasn’t anything special but it could’ve changed since. The entertainment was cheesy. The views may be more interesting at night but during the day they weren’t worth the trip.

People actually line up to get inside during the early summer/tourist season, which makes for some serious inconvenience issues. Seeing the outside is probably insufficient for most people.

Historically, one of the most important buildings in U.S. history. It was the center of the first U.S. capitol, and the home of much of the discussions dealing with the declaration of independence, the articles of confederation, and the constitution. It served as the first home to congress and the supreme court. For anyone interested in U.S. history this is ...

Cute little street, known as one of the oldest continuously occupied streets in the country, takes you back in time… Almost every house (historical, to be precise) has an iron boot scrapers at its doorsteps. Some courtyards are open to the public to wonder around. People actually live in these houses now, and it’s fun to watch when they come ...

Despite the fact that scholars and historians balk at the legend that Betsy Ross created the first American flag, the Betsy Ross House is interesting in and of itself. A preserved colonial home shows visitors how Americans lived (in this region, anyway) in the time of the country's birth, which brings many a history book page alive for students and ...

This is the most magical place for children. Need some time to sit and relax while your children wander around? This is the place. Adults love it as well. Look for the words embedded in the mosaics. Make it into a scavenger hunt.

Likely, nobody makes Camden, NJ their vacation destination. But many people come to Philadelphia, and having the Adventure Aquarium just across the river from Philly makes it a fun stop, especially for families with children. There is a lot to see here. It gets crowded on weekends and during school breaks, so be smart when planning your visit.

Not much to see here other than the outside of the building. It was once home to the US's first central bank, the brain child of Alexander Hamilton, and one of the tools he envisioned in forming a strong central government as well as serving the vital role of consolidating and paying-off the US's war debt
