The ultimate summer bar in NYC - an old ship turned dive bar - right on the Hudson River. Come early, the lines are soaring! If you're lucky, you can catch some live music as well. Located at Pier 66 between 12 Avenue and 26th Street.

    Shake Shack - Theater District

0.7 mi from The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center

Shake Shack—the East Coast's answer to In-n-Out! Juicy, medium-rare, smashed burgers, buttery buns, and an out-of-this-world spicy mayo makes this joint a hit with tourists and locals alike. The shakes and ice cream ain't so bad either. I recommend the double Shack Burger. And if you aren't full by then, try the custard of the day!

This greasy spoon offers--surprise surprise--greasy hamburgers. They are good, and get the job done, but nothing incredible. I suggest going for the Ahi Tuna if you aren’t in the mood for a slab of beef.

Incredibly long wait, but on a cold winter night the wait is totally worth it. Not great for large groups as the restaurant is pretty small. We came with a large group and all had to separate. Delicious.

Small, hidden away bakery that makes some wonderful stuff. We hopped off the subway to come here for breakfast on our way down to Battery Park. This place was worth hunting down.

Heartland Brewery and Chophouse - HB Burger

0.92 mi from The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center
    10 reviews

If you are visiting Times Square, I recommend that you skip the chain restaurants on Broadway and try a local taste of Manhattan on an adjacent street. Heartland Brewery is a block away from Times Square and it caters well to the casual diner who is looking for either a good burger or a terrific cut of beef.

I've been returning to Qi for its excellent food, trendy vibe, and reasonable price. Located right by Times Square, this is my go-to Thai restaurant in the area. My regular order is the Chicken Pad See Ew. Qi also delivers and is open for lunch!

While it was once a seedy locality frequented by prostitutes and pickpockets, gentrification has made it one of the best Manhattan neighborhoods. Hell's Kitchen is the safest answer to the people to come to New York, cannot figure out what to eat. A walk down 9th Avenue between 60th and 40th Streets will yield you a sampling of just about ...

When New York serves out slices of pizza this good for only $1 (yes - $1!), it really makes you wonder why the rest of the world can't seem to make pizza right at all. 2 Bros is awesomely delicious New York street pizza, better than any pizza chain and most local pizza favorites you'll find anywhere. We were looking for something in the theater district, and the menu was appealing.
