The Jane

113 Jane Street, New York City, NY
11 reviews

Enter this place and be transported to a ghostbusters set. Really fun nightlife spot, but rooms that you can't swing a pygmy mouse in. That said its really good value. Party till the early early early hours with a very eclectic international set

    0.18 mi from The Jane
    63 reviews
Very Good! - 81% of guests recommend

This hotel is an architectural wonder and has been written up in almost every travel magazine since it opened. Rooms are gorgeous and the food is great. The only thing you need to be careful about is that people can see into your windows from the park, so if you are modest don't change in front of an open window.

Hip boutique hotel in the heart of Chelsea, right across the street from the city's trendiest art galleries. The minimalist design stands out while the rooftop is where you can take in impressive skyline views of Manhattan. The pool area is ridiculously small, but all in all a cool spot to hang out. This new hotel (April 2010) screams Fashion District with its trendy decor, colorful neon lights, and decorations resonating the neighborhood's rich history of fashion design and clothing making. Good! - 79% of guests recommend

The Four Points is a decent hotel considering Manhattan's typically astronomic rates. If you must stay in a hotel (as opposed to Couchsurfing or AirBnB) and want to be central, this is a fair option. Quite close to several subway stations, a Whole Foods, and the High Line. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms quite big. No complimentary ...

Sleek design and comfortable rooms in this busy corner of SoHo. The rooms aren't huge, but that's to be expected in Manhattan. I really liked the black-marbled bathroom and huge walk-in shower. Staff were pleasant and -- arriving by car during the Friday afternoon rush hour -- the valet parking service was greatly appreciated!

I've stayed in a number of hotels in New York, and this one was excellent for the price. The rooms weren't much larger than a walk in closet, but the hotel was clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and were quick to offer advice on places to eat and sights to see.

From the moment you step inside this building you'll notice that it's not a typical hotel. First, no elevator, it's a walk-up. There's a small front desk that fits one person. This budget-hotel is still converting rooms to hotel rooms as renters leave the building. Guests live among current tenants so you could easily pretend you're renting an apartment steps ...

I totally dug the vibe of the Ace Hotel. From the glass cabinet of taxidermy to the wallpaper of graffiti, to the animal throws on suede couches to the vintage photobooth in the lobby, it oozes hipster cool, so if you're not down with that, check in elsewhere. Ace has a collective of hot spots connected to it: Stumptown Coffee ...

The Plaza is the very definition of luxury. The Presidential Suite is the most expensive in NYC, renting out at $15,000 a night. You do not have to stay at The Plaza to feel luxurious; you can enjoy the Todd English market or have a cup of tea and lunch at The Oak Room.
