One of the classic DC hotels. A lot of moving and shaking goes on here, particularly at the bar and restaurant on the ground floor. Very convenient to National Geographic Headquarters as well as the White House. An iconic DC venue.

This hotel is like lifestyles of the rich and famous meets a PBS documentary on American statesmen.
You won’t find a throng of people waiting behind velvet ropes to check in here. Soft-spoken attendants sit noiselessly behind small, ornate wooden desks adorned with fresh flowers, waiting to take care of you in a civilized manner.
Spaces are small and intimate – in fact, the elevators are so small that I recommend if you ride with others, you know them intimately beforehand because you definitely will when you are done.
In the Greenhouse, where you can get breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea on Sundays, you can enjoy the bright and airy atrium. It's like you’re outside, except without the bugs. The Plume is truly the home of high-powered lunches. You can eat in nooks with semi-circular couches and heavy drapes tied back with gold ropes. The Jefferson’s bar, the Quill, is very manly – a lot of wood and high-backed chairs.

I wish I could give 99 stars to this place. Amazing restaurants, fantastic little rooms and cubbies to sit and work during the day, beautiful guest rooms (no room is the same as another) with scrumptious duvets and crisp sheets. There was a TV in the bathroom mirror....you know, since I need to check my stock prices while I'm brushing my teeth!
Recreational amenities include an indoor pool, a sauna, and a fitness facility. This 3.5 star property has a business center and offers small meeting rooms, audio visual equipment, and business services. High speed Internet access is available in public areas. This Washington property has event space consisting of banquet facilities, conference/meeting rooms, a ballroom, and exhibit space. Guest parking is available for a surcharge. Wedding services and tour assistance are available. Additional property amenities include a bar/lounge, a coffee shop/café, and valet parking. This is a smoke free property.
