The Joule hotel was cool since its opening, with its 8-foot cantilevered pool overlooking Main Street, on-site four-star dining and an underground nightclub. Amazingly enough, the owners took a good thing and made it amazing with a massive expansion including a second tower, addition of the region’s only Espa, a new farm to table dining experience, massive banquet space, and several retail shops. The nightclub has since closed, but early 2014 a craft cocktail bar is slated for the space. The Joule has officially defined itself as a destination, not just a hotel.

Love the rooftop pool and bar. It hangs out over the street below and part of it is formed by a glass wall so you can look down at the people below. Amazing atmosphere, sexy rooms and super-friendly hotel staff.
Great cocktails, too!

The Joule can best be described as plush sophistication, you enter from Main Street, a very busy, noisy street and into this lobby and it’s like you’ve entered another place and with the famous Charlie Palmer Steakhouse along with a lobby wine bar and the PM Lounge, it’s a great place for both business travelers and locals to come and enjoy. I especially enjoy hotels with great art and was a little disappointed that none of the employees had much information about the collection when I asked, I was told there was an Andy Warhol, I didn’t find it but did find a lot of great pieces. The amenities are luxurious as well, the beds have down comforters and pillows, all guests have direct access to a personal shopper at Neiman’s and the bathrooms have a rainforest and adjustable showerhead, a pull out drawer with a full range of toiletries and a high-powered hair dryer which anyone with long hair will really appreciate. The Joule has won honors for its rooftop pool and bar and it should, the pool extends beyond the building with a clear wall and if you aren’t afraid of heights you get a great view of the city and the bar serves up drinks and food from Charlie Palmer while you enjoy our urban oasis.Recommended for

If you are an individual that enjoys more of boutique, uniquely styled hotel then this is a great choice for you in dallas. The hotel is very plush with velvety purple and dark color decor. The hotel has a masculine tone to it and it can be noticed in the magazines they have in the rooms, the clientele and the restaurant offerings like Charlie Palmer. One of my favorite things about the hotel is the roof top pool that juts out to an overlook of the street. The food options at the hotel are great if you like steak and wine. Charlie palmer has an extensive wine list and impeccable service.
