I absolutely love this hotel. The Inn is eclectic and full of modern-southern charm. As a frequent traveler, I hate being away from my bed...however; the room's here invite you in and don't make you think twice that you are not at home. The best part of this Inn is its location near Brightleaf square. You are a hop, skip and a jump from trendy bars and some fine dining. If you are lucky enough to stay at the Inn during some of their events, definitely partake. They have hosted a St. Patrick's Day high tea and a Valentine’s chocolate and champagne tasting which were both great experiences.Recommended for:Luxury Travelers

This is a great option if you want to stay in downtown Durham. It has tons of character and unique touches. Each room is different and has its own creative Art Deco design and layout. Although this is a historic building with charm, the inn has the feel of a modern, hip boutique hotel, with IPads in every room and organic toiletries. An interesting combination, for sure! I’ve only had very positive experiences with the staff here – they greet you with a smile and go out of their way to help. I also love that you can walk to Brightleaf Square and many other great restaurants in Durham. I attended a wedding at the inn as well, and it was a nice, intimate venue for smaller gatherings.
