The Langham, London

Very pricey tea time in the palm court of the Langham hotel. Typical British - good to take international clients. But I wouldn't go again. Definitely not worth the money.

Whether you want a last pint before zooming beneath the Channel to France or Belgium, or a first taste of the best of British ale, hasten along to The Betjeman Arms, a comfortable pub in St. Pancras Station, home of Eurostar. Part “gastro” (good food) and part pub (good beer), this is a highly successful modern take on the railroad ...

    The Library Bar

1.1 mi from The Langham, London
    1 review

This grown up lounge bar inside the Lanesborough Hotel at Hyde Park corner serves their cocktails in a distinguished library setting, hence the name. Great place to go when you actually want to have conversation with the person you are having cocktails with, not to mention the drinks are very well made.

This is a beautiful castle, with quite a history and lovely gardens. My pictures don't do it justice, here is a link for professional photos http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=walmer%20castle%20queen%20mother%27s%20garden&source=web&cd=3&ved=0CDUQFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.panoramio.com%2Fphoto%2F14309443&ei=zFd5T5ePBKiniQKinbynDg&usg=AFQjCNG9WJKA3CLzJjXbNBTeCrMgrwjpLg&cad=rja The inside of the castle is fnished to show how it looked when it was occupied, by those lucky enough to call it home. There is a place for tea (Lord Warden's tea room), ...

This is becoming the go-to place for big weddings where you want a beautiful, high ceiling building (used to be a town hall) where you otherwise control the aesthetics, can fit 200 people (without using a big hotel) and want to stay in central London. It's a great venue and the acoustics are terrific.
