The Liaison Hotel has rooftop yoga during the summer months and it's a fun way to get your OM on then have a great meal at Art & Soul for brunch. The class is led by local celebrity yoga teacher Faith Hunter and features Faith's Spiritually Fly teaching method.Recommended for:

Newly renovated and boasting never-been-slept-in-before rooms, this hotel definitely has a modern feel.
At the Liaison, you’re almost literally a stone’s throw from the Capitol, so it’s an excellent location for business travelers. Union Station is also right nearby with loads of shops and restaurants. If you have an expense account, try B. Smith’s, a nice place with white tablecloths where you can order a “Swamp Thang” for $27. If you’re paying yourself, try Kabuki Sushi in the food court. The hotel’s restaurant, Art & Soul, is a pretty popular destination in itself. The chef was Oprah Winfrey’s chef – but don’t worry, it’s not all diet food.
With rates hovering around $100 per night for weekdays or weekends, it’s a definite bargain. Plus, there’s a rooftop pool and bar, and there’s free yoga every day! Don’t let the liquor store next door with the flashing Lotto sign bother you – just walk the other way.Recommended for:

I enjoyed my stay here on a business trip. Rooms were very modern and trendy. Staff was very polite and accommodating. The only not-so-good thing about this boutique hotel was that the restaurant was closed for renovations. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend it.Recommended for:

The room is okay, but not terrific. Shampoo & other amenities are in tiny bottles and you cannot get product out. It took 7 minutes to get enough body lotion to do the whole body. Water was only lukewarm morning and evening. And there are very creepy photos in the hallway, suggesting a liaison between an older man (a political operative) and a younger woman (a call girl?). Great location near Union Station, but not too much more to recommend it.
