The Magnificent Mile a.k.a. North Michigan Ave is the "Fifth Ave" of Chicago. The area is a shopper's delight and it offers a broad range of retail stores from American Eagle Outfitters to Armani Exchange. There is something for everyone.

All the stores that we have ever heard of is here...almost. Magnificent Mile (Michigan Ave) is quite magnificent for the shopaholic. Just wear comfortable shoes and the shopping experience is enhanced 10 folds...although the crowd may deduct some points in the enjoyment of this great shopping street.

This is a must stop if you are in Chicago for the first time. Shop at some of the high end stores or dine at some of the top restaurants. In the summer, there are beautiful gardens that line the Magnificent Mile. During the holiday season, massive amounts of lights adorn the trees. It's quite a sight!

It's a total touristy area for sure, but sometimes it's just fun to go there and window shop or have some drinks. Definitely worth a visit if you've never been.

The Magnificent Mile is great for a lot of reasons. You can stay at beautiful historic hotels in this area. The area caters to tourists by offering several different trolley tours for easy accessible transportation. Shopping, food, and entertainment are around every corner. Within a few blocks you can find a multi-leveled Nike Store, the Hard Rock Cafe, and a movie theater all in walking distance from popular hotels.

The downside of this area is that most things are expensive in this area. Plan on dropping some cash when you visit Michigan Ave.

Not only interesting due to presence of numerous shops, cafes, beautiful architecture but you won't get tired walking the so called mile due to the ambiance. I was fortunate that our hotel was located right on the Mile :) TheMagnificent Mile is located in close proximity to public transit.

Go to Magnificent Mile for some nice shopping while in Chicago. They have some nice upscale shops and restaurants here and it is very close to other known Chicago attraction.
