The Marmara Taksim is at the center of business, shopping, theatre and entertainment districts, in the heart of Istanbul, Taksim Square. Built on the highest of Istanbul's “Seven Hills”, The Marmara Taksim offers magnificent views of the Bosphorus and Seraglio Point stretching all the way to the Sea of Marmara.Recommended for:

Modern luxury, smack dab in the middle of the heartbeat of Istanbul’s most thriving district, with stores and restaurants and entertainment at all hours. This hotel is right on Taksim Square, at the top of Istiklal street. Right outside the door you can hop on the old trolley and ride it down to the Galata Tower for the best sunset views, or explore the pulsing Beyoglu district any hour of the day, then easily get away from the crowds and noise whenever you want. Without a doubt, this hotel offers every amenity with excellence and style – restaurants, a bar, outdoor pool, fitness center, hamam, sauna and more! The room was cushy and lush – with a view looking out over the city. Don’t miss the chocolate shop just inside the front door…luscious!Recommended for:

A luxury hotel in the heart of the city, the Marmara overlooks Taksim Square and has great views of either the Square and city, or the Sea of Marmara to the back. There’s an outdoor pool on the roof, spa facilities and a gym. The hotel provides great business facilities and is a nice respite if you’ve spent the day working hard in Istanbul. However, it has the added advantage of being a short walk to the fish restaurants and bars of Beyoglu. If you’re feeling too lazy even for a short walk, there are two restaurants in the hotel that both make the most of the views.Recommended for:

You can see it from practically everywhere in Istanbul: the tower on Taksim Square with the giant TV on top. The Marmara is the most upscale hotel in the immediate vicinity of Taksim and it's worth the money--if you can afford it. It has the usualy amenties: doorman and valet service, a rooftop swimming pool, a view of both Taksim and the Bosphorus, a gourmet Turkish breakfast and a worthwhile restaurant/bar. There is an in-house salon, shoe shine stands and Starbucks is literally 50 meters from the front door.Recommended for:

The Marmara never loses its charm. You’d miss a great deal if you refrain from staying at The Marmara fearing it might be full. Yes, the hotel has no ‘high’ or ‘low’ seasons, it is brimming with guests every day. But what it offers in means of city experience, leisure activities and tastes are significant.
The Marmara is not highlighted only because of its location. Having a vast panorama of the Bosphorus stretching under your feet or sweating out while enjoying the ever-lively Taksim square are experiences not to be missed...
The culinary adventures on offer are also diverse. Moreover, you have everything, simply everything within walking distance. A Kitchenette restaurant downstairs, a Starbucks, airport shuttles, ferries, metro and ALL the attractions of Beyoğlu / Istiklal Avenue...
It may have a reputation of attracting business travellers, but The Marmara Taksim addresses the hard-to-please guest.Recommended for:

This hotel is conveniently located in the Taksim square and in the 80's it used to be one of the top hotels in the city. Today Istanbul offers much better alternatives, including some boutique or modern art deco hotels all over the city and for a much reasonable price. I was, for the nightly rate charged, disappointed by the hotel staff, the service and "very" disappointed with my single room.
I believe you got many alternatives out there. This hotels uniqueness is its location, right at Taksim square in the entrance to Istiklal Caddesi.
