Nice market housed in the remnants of an old Gothic-style fort. Mostly tourist kitsch but there is some nice woodwork and jewelry if you look closely.

What a great cultural and shopping experience! The market, established around 1926, offers an amazing selection of local craftsmanship and folklore including leather goods, clothing, ceramic products, shoes, hammocks, pots and woven rugs. I brought home a lovely wind charm made of two dozen hanging down clay bells, it is very beautiful! Do know: this building is the former law and Philosophy University. It is a great stop between Managua and Granada.
