The Maxwell Hotel is a go-to accommodation near Seattle Center, a real hub for family activities in the city. It's convenient to get a hotel in one of the nearby neighborhoods, but while there are more hotels in the Belltown area, hotels in the Lower Queen Anne region are better for kids. The neighborhood is closer to Seattle Center itself and generally requires less walking. The Maxwell is known to be especially good for families with babies and toddlers, providing special services like pack-and-plays instead of cribs.

Totally recommend this place... Main reason 5 stars... Service.

      ROOM: 3rd floor, 322
Deluxe Queen Suite - we got two queen beds but it was bc we wanted a view of the Space Needle. The room was awesome and the Space Needle was in sight but blocked by some cables. Oh well.
The shower had no door but it still worked well. Towels were decent quality.
Amenities: they provide a Kerug coffee maker with Tully's coffee (and decaf) and tea, popcorn, two water bottles and stuff for the coffee. The shampoos/conditioner/soap/lotion were in dispensers. Good quality stuff - Tommy Bahamas.
Room came with fridge (had butter in the fridge) and a microwave. Also a couch and chair.

      AMENITIES:
Pool/fitness are: didn't use bc we walked everywhere
Free Bike rentals: comes ith lock and helmet : Awesome! Seattle is pretty bike friendly. This place is near the water and Space Needle so biking was sooo fun.
Free coffee and pineapple cupcakes in the afternoon: awesome
Free Shuttle Service from 9-6pm. You just need to schedule it.
Free newspaper on your door every morning

      SERVICE:
      One word: Justin
He was the best host! He was friendly and SO helpful. He found us locations to go and eat and even helped us with shuttle info. He was so accommodating! Seriously awesome. People said he looked like Corey Mondrieth from Glee... No... I think he looks like Adam Baldwin from the nose up. Anyways... Seriously a great host. He's the reason I gave a five and I'm picky as heck about hotels.
The shuttle drivers were great. Craig and David were nice and helpful. Craig drove to us bc we were too far from the meeting point (and I wore the wrong shoes). Awesome.

      AMBIANCE:
Pineapple themed bc giving someone a pineapple means great hospitality. So that's cool. Very quirky look which I love. Very modern quirk.

      PROXIMITY:
Walking distance to Space Needle, Seattle Center, key arena, Alwig Monorail, Pacific Science Center, EMP, and near pier 90 (bike ride).

      OVERALL:
I'm recommending this place and would come back.

Interesting little hotel. They offer a lot for free - free wifi, free shuttle service that runs until 3pm, free parking, free bikes to get around the city. The rooms are surprisingly big. Great place to stay near Seattle Center. They run promotions sometimes where you can get a third night for free, so ask before you book.

What is there not to love about a hotel that greets you with mini pineapple cupcakes? The staff here is as cheerful and friendly as the bright decor - it’s just a unique, kind of quirky hotel. Try to get a room with a view of the Space Needle - you won’t be disappointed, it’s beautiful!

The Maxwell is dog friendly, and will even give you doggie treats when you check in. Also, they have an espresso bar, which I so wish more hotels had! Such a great concept.

Location-wise, this is perfect if you want to be close to Seattle Center. The Space Needle, Key Arena, Pacific Science Center, IMAX - it’s all right there. If you want to hang out downtown, it’s a good 10 to 15 minute walk, or you can take the monorail. Another cool option is that the hotel offers complimentary bikes, which is a fun way to get around, as Seattle is a very bike friendly city.

This is such a nice hotel to choose if you’re visiting Seattle and want to stay in Queen Anne, right by the Space Needle. The neighborhood is really interesting, because you’ve got all the tourist attractions at Seattle Center, but then it’s also very quiet and residential.

The Maxwell has a really modern, funky kind of vibe that I really like. There are pineapples everywhere (ask a staff member why!), and they even give you pineapple cupcakes. They also offer free wifi - hooray.

As far as what’s around, aside from (obviously) Seattle Center, there’s a pub nearby, as well as a good Thai place called Bahn. You can also see a show at Teatro ZinZanni, which is really entertaining and includes dinner (you get a good discount if you’re staying at the Maxwell!). Oh, and if you’ve got a car - parking is actually free, a serious rarity for hotels in this city.
