I was amazed how crisp and clean the water was in these cenotes! It was a bit scary at first to swim in a dark cave with bats flying around but I soon realized there was nothing to worry about. There weren't any scary creatures in the water and the bats didn't bother us at all.

If you're staying in Cancun or Playa del Carmen, you should definitely spend a day snorkeling here. I was able to see so many huge sea turtles swimming rather close to the shore. One of the best snorkeling experiences in Mexico!
