When your budget does not qualify for a stay at the Wynn but you would still like the experience of a nice resort, I would definitely recommend the Mirage. This place is nothing like it was 15 years ago. It has been completely redone and revamped and it is beautiful. The rooms are sleek looking and very comfortable. They also come equipped with a hookup station for various types of media (just bring your hookup cables) which is now becoming more popular in Vegas hotel rooms but is still not standard in many of them. The resort has a beautiful pool area, fun lounges and good restaurants. It is also home to many comedy shows and the Beatles Show "Love." And the best part of it all is that it is located in a great part of the strip. Pretty much central to everything.

Let's be honest. You are staying here because you got a deal, you gamble here a lot so you get a lot of comps, or this is just your go to hotel. I used to stay here a lot when I came with my fam bam because they love the mirage and still do. I outgrew it a while ago only because it doesn't feel special to me anymore. I saw the Beatles love show there, which was alright, but other than that, there is nothing else it offers me, except great deals to stay there and lose all my money.

There's nothing wrong with staying at the Mirage. It's a classy hotel with decent prices. You don't do much in your hotel room in Vegas anyway so book a room and enjoy your trip. The Mirage has a fun pool area that is just as lively but possibly less risque than other pools on the Las Vegas Strip. Definitely a good place to stay if you're not baller status.

Located on the Las Vegas Strip, this was one of the first properties of the “corporate era” of Las Vegas. A theme property with out a theme (I mean that as a good thing). Yes the decor is lush and tropical but it is evocative of nowhere in particular, it is your own tropical paradise.
They have a great selection of restaurants and clubs. I always feel welcome when I go there. Oh and did I mention that they also have a volcano? Worth a stop in. Live it up you are in Las Vegas for cryin’ out loud!

Nicely updated rooms and one of the best pool areas in Vegas. Has a special kind of vibe inside, can't really explain it. Some really nice restaurants as well. If you've never stayed here, check it out, it is great fun! Make sure to see the volcano and Seigfried and Roy's secret Garden.
