Built on the edge of a lake, The Palace - The Old Town, Downtown Dubai is a harmonious blend of Middle Eastern heritage and contemporary Dubai . The Palace is directly connected with the Souk Al Bahar, facing The Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa , the world's tallest tower and just a step away from The Dubai Mall, one of the largest shopping centre in the world. This hotel is beautiful. Even if you can't afford to stay, it's a great place to go for tea in the evening and for the view from the lobby of Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountains. The architecture and interior feel seriously Arabic, without being tacky. There are a lot of comfortable private places in the lobby, and while you wait at reception they give you figs and tea. All the rooms are modern and spacious, with arabic fabrics and furnishings. Decks are large and a lot of them have views of The Dubai Fountains. At night the reflective pools and symmetry of the building are beautiful.

5 star rating for value for money. New, chic and luxurious hotel with a hot location. Walking distance to the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, the newest center of Dubai. Yet not ridiculously expensive.

The Palace looks like it was exactly taken out of thousand and one stories. It is on the other side of Burj Khalifa on the Old Town Islands. As you walk in the lobby, there is a fountain with rose petals covering the water surface. You can get complementary Arabian coffee and figs here. Beyond the lobby is a nice lounge with a terrace. The terrace has a wonderful view and is most appeasing. The room was terrific. What I liked the best was the rain shower and the generous balconies towards the Burj Khalifa Lake. You have a nice view on the Dubai Mall fountain show, displayed every 20 min, from here. It is also highly recommended because of the Argentinian restaurant Asado and the Thai restaurant Thiptara, which are both award winning.
