Hip hotel, once upon a time. The clubs are still pretty hopping (ghost bar, rain, etc.), so it's still worth hitting up once in a while. There's some spectacular views of the strip if you get to party up near the top floors.
The new building next to the hotel, Palms Place, boasts some amazing penthouse suites with terrific views. Had the pleasure of attending a party there once... Wow, hot tub on the deck, pool table, full kitchen, living, dining, 2 bed, 2 bath... it's got it all. Definitely check them out if you get the opportunity.

My favorite off-Strip casino hotel in Las Vegas, the Palms has a slightly trashy, kind of sexy vibe, plus some of the best-odds gaming tables and slot machines in town. Drop by N9NE Steakhouse to spot celebs, then scoot up the elevator to ghostbar or Moon nightclub, where you can dance under the stars. The rooms are sometimes overpriced for what you get, but on weekdays they can be a sweet deal.

I am such a PIMP!!!! Stayed in a Penthouse suite in the Fantasy tower!
This room is BAD ASS! Includes: in room bar, nice red leather couches, marble tables. Not 1, but TWO giant bathrooms: shower had flashing neon lights (you can play red light green light in the shower), 8 shower heads (make sure every inch of your body is super squeaky clean), jacuzzi (bubble bath anyone?) and TV (pay-per-view porn is readily available). I could spend hours just in the bathroom! Large walk-in closet - every girl's dream, every man's nightmare! Floor to ceiling windows gives a semi-panoramic view of the strip. Fireplace, multiple plasma TV's, and remote controlled lights and curtains. In sin city, Sloth is a sin not frowned upon but highly encouraged.
Life is rough when you are a balla!

Ok, let me start by saying I am a huge fan of this place. Great restaurants, and friendly and helpful staff. One thing that strikes you as you walk thru casino is the odd mix of patrons. On the one hand you have the locals from the grey hair set who are walking laps from the slot machines and the buffet. on the other hand you have the younger and considerably more scantily clad hip crowd. That being said the two groups do not seem to get each others way. This place is a great experiment in tolerance and coexistence. So I say make the short trip off the strip and check out The Palms. Live it up you are in Las Vegas for cryin’ out loud!

How can you wrong with Las Vegas to begin with right? But the Palms does it better than most even though it is off the strip. The rooms are amazing as expected in Vegas. What topped it off for me was the pool, the restaurants like NINE and the nightlife including Ghost Bar and the Playboy Club. It is hard not to enjoy your stay at the Palms.

The Palms was a great base in Vegas. The rooms are nice there is a great pool and facilities. There are some night clubs in the casino or the strip is only 5mins away in a taxi.
This was great for our first time to vegas where the strip was expensive and a little overwhelming.
The Mexican restaurant in the hotel is a winner!
Also it is one of the only hotels in Vegas where i don't get lost!!!

I suppose luck was on my side when I entered myself in one of their Twitter contests and won a free night stay at the hotel. Got myself a corner room on the 22nd floor of The Palms Tower. It was very spacious, and had a spectacular panoramic view of The Strip. I recommend that you request one if they have it. You barely hear any noise from other guests passing through the halls because of the location. I didn't really get the chance to take everything in during my stay, as I was in and out most of the time. Because of that, I ended up forgetting my iPod charger when I checked out. I managed to get a hold of someone at the security desk and was able to claim it later that day with no hassle. Overall, very nice place to stay if you're considering being off, but not too far from The Strip.
