This place has good thin-crust pizza. They play punk rock music, but quietly, and it's packed most days with locals (lots of families). The service was terrible - we had to negotiate for 10 minutes for a table, since we were a big party and they said that people who know each other are not allowed to sit at tables next to each other (even though they were empty) and that we instead had to wait an hour for the one bigger table to open up. Dunce city. Eventually worked out and the pizza was pretty good, if not mind blowing.Recommended for:

There is a pizza on the menu here called the Spicoli - extra cheese and sausage. Not only is that pizza homage to Fast Times at Ridgemont High hilarious, evoking Jeff Spicoli kind of sums up the atmosphere of this place too. Frequented by salty surfers and pizza enthusiasts, The Pizza Place has the best New York Style pizza in town. The fresh salads, pasta specials, and cheep beer are pretty radical too. Aloha Mr. Hand.
