This iconic hotel has it all: elegant accommodations, gorgeous location, great dining and shopping, and an excellent event center. I recently attended a business event in the grand ballroom and was astounded by the quality. This hotel knows how to do it right.

The Plaza Hotel is another of New York's great luxury palaces. It excels the Waldorf-Astoria in location: it stands magnificently at the southeast corner of Central Park along Fifth Avenue. Mostly I think of it as the hotel where Kevin Arnold spends his week in New York during Home Alone 2.

The Plaza hotel is a National Historic Landmark right at the southern edge of Central Park. It openned it's doors in 1907, and closed during the early part of this century for $400 million in renovations and repairs. It's another one of those must sees while in the Big Apple.

I can't say enough about The Plaza Hotel. It is classically New York and although it is huge, has a charm and elegance that is unrivaled in Manhattan. The Oak Room for high tea is a tradition I never miss and my big dream is to one day stay in the "Eloise Suite"every little girl's dream!

The Plaza is the epitome of New York City luxury and Old World elegance. Seen in countless movies throughout the decades, there are several reasons to visit it, even if you don't have the budget of a movie star.

The Plaza is the very definition of luxury. The Presidential Suite is the most expensive in NYC, renting out at $15,000 a night. You do not have to stay at The Plaza to feel luxurious; you can enjoy the Todd English market or have a cup of tea and lunch at The Oak Room.

Tea at the Palm Court with the Ladies? Yes please. It is an experience just sitting in the magnificent and opulent palm court, taking in the beautiful marble columns, the intricate stain glass, and ornate decorations. The Palm Court is really pretty, and I felt like I should be wearing proper ladies' clothing to sit here. Ah, times are different now, and the crowd noticeably more casual. The experience is the same: elegant service, beautiful dining area, and dainty tea set. How relaxing! I was hoping to see Eloise but no luck, maybe next time.

A Manhattan landmark and one of my favourite destinations for when I'm feeling like a really naughty treat. I check in to the Fitzgerald Suite on the 18th floor, shut my eyes and pretend it's the age of the flappers. So, to be fair, the decor isn't the original roaring 20's interior - it was made over by costume designer Catherine Martin, and very theatrical it is too.

I would love to stay at the Plaza again because it's the heart of New York. What more could you ask for. Right by Central Park, the museums, the shopping, maybe catch a show. Heaven....

Staying at the Plaza is everything you would imagine it to be. The service and rooms were unbelievable, and there is no better location in the U.S. Of course with the fame comes the high prices, but the feeling of coming in and out of the Plaza as you explore New York is worth the experience.

Beautiful hotel. For over $700 a night staff can be way friendlier. At least smile or say hello!
