I cannot stress enough how friendly the staff are here. Staying at The Pointe is like staying with warm relatives who just happen to have a very large home. The lobby is exquisite but welcoming, with elaborate wooden furniture and floral displays as well as a quaint, bistro-style bakery. The rooms have a home-away-from-home feel too, with soft beds and a fully-stocked kitchen. My room overlooked the gorgeous pool area, though I could easily close the curtains and feel perfectly snug and secluded. The location is great; tucked between two busy tourist streets and within walking distance to Wet 'n Wild, it's perfect for vacationing families with young children or even teenagers.Recommended for:

As I walked up to the entrance to The Point, a staff member greeted me with a “Howdy, how are ya?” and a huge smile. The friendly customer service continued inside. While I stood at the front desk, the attendants greeted guests by name as they walked through the lobby. This hotel is definitely for those who love a bit of luxury. I loved the hanging chandeliers in the lobby, complete with studded leather couches and high wood ceilings. No matter what time of year you go, the pool is always set to 82 degrees and has plenty of lounge chairs and soft-seating to enjoy the outdoors. The hotel only has King sized beds, so you have no option other than to sleep like royalty. Breakfast isn’t included (it costs $12) but you have the option of booking a room with a full kitchen, complete with all the appliances you need, to cook your own breakfast.Recommended for:

The Point is the all-around hotel for those interested in versatility of their stay in orlando. Its close enough to the disney parks that its convenient but the critical distance also makes it useful for business travelers. My room was very clean and the staff was generally quite friendly. Jose was particularly helpful. The pool is fantastic, and I particularly enjoyed lounging by the pool with my wife and kids during our Florida tour.Recommended for:

I definitely recommend the Point resort to anyone traveling to the Orlando area. It's very nice and the suites are well equipped with kitchens and tv rooms. The two bedroom suites are perfect for families staying in orlando who want to get away from the Disney theme parks but still want great proximity. I stayed here a few months ago with my husband and we had a great time.Recommended for:
