Funny. Last night, I came here with my friend Vila & her two friends. The wall art behind the stage is really cool looking of San Francisco. Chairs aren't comfy. We sat at a table that was like pretty much 2nd row to the stage. Dead middle. Food was okay. I got the chicken ceasar salad & had two glasses of Domaine Chandon champagne. Service was friendly & fast. The hostess was Marcela who was this funny lady who was 6'2 & had a fro. Then there was like 10 comedians who did a set about 15-mins each. Most were pretty hilarious, but there were like 2 that was not that funny. Especially this one dude who dressed up in a beanie with dreads & vest/tie who was yelling "laugh people! laugh!" Weird. Haha funny time.

I hadn't laughed so hard in a long time as I did when I got to see Dave Chapelle here! That man is hilariously out of control! After missing him many times in the past, I was finally able to see him at the Punch Line.
We arrived at 9pm for the 10pm showing, and there were about 40 people in line before us. We got good seats inside, but honestly, there really isn't a bad seat in the house, so I don't think it makes too much difference how early you arrive before the show.
Because it was the only show Dave was doing that night, he told us that he could go on all night, which is what he did. My poor cold-ridden fiancee was a good sport and laughed it up with me until almost 2am, but alas, we cut out early. I heard he didn't get off the stage until about 3:30am!
If you get the chance, don't miss Dave Chapelle at the Punch Line. It's easy to tell that it's one of his favorite venues to perform at - he's completely comfortable in the intimate setting and gets down and dirty with the audience. The late show is the way to go if you want hours and hours of laughter.

I been here about a dozen times at least. I love sunday evenings in which they have comedy show case, you can get cheaper tix on livenation.com sometimes. Otherwise, it's about $12 for each person, plus 2 drinks. They do enforce that policy. They'd have about 8 or more local comics. Don't go there often or you'll see the same comics and hear the same punchline. For good times and laughs, go w/a group of friends & get picked on. It's always fun to get your friends picked on. Don't you think? :)
