    Blue Pumpkin

0.1 mi from The Purple Mangosteen

Seriously, if this ice cream place was in Italy it would still rate. It's so hot in Siem Reap and the Blue Pumpkin (several locations) cools it off.

    Angkor Night Market

0.18 mi from The Purple Mangosteen

I didn't find Angkor night market interesting in comparison to other night markets in South East Asia - but if you happen to be in Siem Reap, you might as well check out the place.

    Angkor Palm

0.11 mi from The Purple Mangosteen
    4 reviews

With a fine atmosphere and good service, Angkor Palm restaurant in the center of town (just down from Pub Street) serves up a broad range of traditional Khmer cuisine, but for the full experience, order their rightly-popular Khmer-spread sampler, in which each of six dishes -- from rich fish amok to honey-glazed Khmer pork ribs -- is an excellent window ...

    Khmer Kitchen Restaurant

    3 reviews

If your looking for a place to try Cambodian food and you want to be around Pub Street, Khmer Kitchen is a good choice. The mango salad and the banana leaf salad is very good, but the best dish is the sweet potato bake. Khmer sweet potato with pork and mushrooms, carrot and onion baked like a casserole is the ...

If it's Mexican your after, Viva is a good choice. Just off Pub Street, and always busy you will find tacos, nachos and other really good mexican dishes. I highly recommend the pork chimichanga! But if you only have a few days in Cambodia, please try the local food!

This is a great place to get really good Cambodian food. The food is excellent and the prices are incredibly cheap. Family run restaurant and is located just behind the old market. I highly recommend the salted back pork ribs and the sweet and sour chicken! They do have western food on the menu, but I would stick to the ...

After five days of Khmer curries and amok, I wanted to have something else for a change. Conveniently located on Pub Street, this Vietnamese restaurant offered pretty good Pho Bo (beef noodles), Banh Xeo (crispy pancake with beansprouts and seafood), and noodle salad. The dessert of custard in pumpkin wasn't bad too.

    Viroth's Restaurant

0.43 mi from The Purple Mangosteen
    2 reviews

It was easy to relax amid the elegant, modern-resort interiors of Viroth's, cooled by fans under a traditional thatched roof. Although the food, set off beautifully by celadon ceramic ware, was too mild-tasting for my liking (toned down for the tourist palate), I didn't go there expecting authenticity and was therefore not too disappointed.

    1 review

Despite its name, this family-run place also serves excellent Khmer dishes in a clean, laid back setting off a quiet street. The waiter's recommendation of spring rolls, stir-fried beef (Lork Lak) and fish were, in my opinion, a notch above the offerings on pub street. And it's only a 5-minute taxi ride from the centre of town. Where: Off Street ...
