The Regent Berlin is an exceptionally well run hotel. The furnishings are cookie cutter Four Seasons (even though this is a Regent) -- i.e., very nice but not particularly distinctive. What really set the property apart for me was the level of service.
The hotel staff are well trained and attentive throughout the property; however, the restaurant staff were truly special.
I stayed 2 nights and had breakfast at the hotel restaurant both mornings. Service was typical 5 star on the first morning but shockingly good the next day when they remembered every detail of my prior breakfast and seemed to know my preferences as if I were having my 100th breakfast at the property.
In addition to the good service and attractive surroundings, the property is in a nice location The hotel is very close to the U6 and there are plenty of shopping options and tourist sights close by.
You would expect a hotel this good to run 400-600 Euro in most European capitals. My rate of 202 Euro included breakfast. If you book through Amex FH&R, you also get a room upgrade and an 85 Euro credit toward extras during your stay! Pretty amazing.

This is a beautiful hotel, with a tea room in the lobby, and anything you'd expect from a five-star hotel. The customer service isn't always the best, which is expected in Berlin, but the rooms are comfortable and have double windows for quiet sleep time. Since there's not really a central area for guests to just lounge in the lobby, the hotel does stay very peaceful, which is a nice bonus, as well as the great daily breakfast.

The Regent reaches the height of hoighty-toighty extravagance, which you'd expect from a grandiose, centrally-located, five-star hotel. From the moment I walked into the Regent, I felt like royalty. With ornate chandeliers, decadently comfortable rooms, and ever-attentive service, the Regent is the place to stay if you want to feel like a king (or queen) while within walking distance to Berlin's largest attractions. For those who want to absorb the Regent's atmosphere, but not foot the bill for a full night stay, they can splurge to a lesser degree on a delicious breakfast buffet, including the epic Easter Brunch. The hotel is also situated on Gendamenmarkt, where arguably the best Christmas Market in Berlin can be found.

You definitely get your money's worth when you stay at Regents Berlin. A classically designed hotel in a great location which offers all the trimmings of 5 star luxury, from the Michelin star restaurant to the fantastic in-house health club.
If I'm being picky, the price for the internet connection is too high (25 euro/24 h) but that's just a tiny blip on what is a superb establishment that seem to pride themselves on quality, right down to the finest detail. So expect fresh flowers in your room daily, a bend-over-backwards service, and top quality lunch and dinner in the restaurant. Location-wise, Regents is perfectly situated, surrounded by museums, restaurants and landmarks--Brandenburg Gate is within walking distance as is the periphery of the Tiergarten, a lovely and huge park to get lost in on a warm day. And once you're done sightseeing go and make use of the Regent Health Club for a rub down and a session in the sauna.
Head's up: try and get a south/south western facing room for a nice view over the Gendarmenmarkt square.Recommended for:Luxury Travelers

Offers all the comfort expected of a five star hotel. Even the smallest available rooms are very spacious, with separate walk-in shower and bath tub both of which are majestic, and a separate toilet. The rooms are tastefully designed, equipped with a minibar, flat screen tv and dvd player. I would recommend the hotel restaurant (Fischers Fritz) anytime. Only downside to this hotel is that there is no pool. They do offer the use of a pool in a neighboring building but the walk can be quite annoying.
This Berlin luxury hotel is near the French Cathedral, Brandenburg Gate, and Gendarmenmarkt. Additional attractions include the Pergamon Museum.
Dining options at The Regent Berlin include a restaurant and a...read more from www.regenthotels.com
