This is a gorgeous property, but I prefer staying here when I am visiting with family more than when I am heading to town to enjoy a game or some nightlife. The staff and service are definitely up to par with what you expect from a Ritz.Recommended for:

With a name like the Ritz-Carlton you'd expect it to have a certain level of quality, and this hotel does not disappoint. Even though it's in the congested part of downtown it is comfortably nestled in a wall of trees and landscaping. The distinct style stands out among the other buildings even though it sits in the shadow of a much larger and very distinct hotel.
From the moment you walk in the building you can feel the quality. I didn't touch a single door on my way in or out, and I was attended to by friendly faces the whole way. The lobby immediately sets the tone of this classically-styled and elegant business. The carpet, the decorations, the lighting...all of it speaks to a guilders age without appearing old or kitschy.
The lobby bar probably has every type of single malt scotch you could want and bottles of wine older than I am. The gift shop is only for people with plenty of money to spare. And the ballrooms just scream for actual soirées. It was as posh as these thing come.

As a native New Yorker, I always expect a Ritz-Carlton to be an opulent and historic building that brings in modern flair and luxury. Dallas’ Ritz is actually new construction in the heart of Uptown--a domineering sand-hued high-rise that demands attention. While definitely not historic, the Ritz is definitely on par when it comes to luxury. As you enter, a massive live floral arrangement greets you (seriously, it’s bigger than a toddler) and to the left is the Rattlesnake Bar, an offshoot of Fearings restaurant. Last time I was here, I had a trio of spa treatments and the entire experience was heavenly. From the pleasant and soft-spoken staff, to the fruit-infused water to the peaceful treatment rooms, everything was top notch. This summer, they introduced poolside spa treatments to be enjoyed at the hotel’s gorgeous rooftop oasis.Recommended for:

The Ritz-Carlton Dallas is the Dallas destination for chic, contemporary glamour in a luxury hotel and hotspot. You will love your room with its luxury linens, ipod docking alarm clock, rain fall showerhead and any amenity that you could ask for, but, not as much as the spa, gorgeous outdoor pool, a first class boutique with fresh coffee and gelato, a nightly guacamologist experience (yes, they exist and you can experience it at the Ritz-Carlton Dallas) and you have complimentary chauffeur service in a Bentley to anywhere within a three mile radius which takes you to most places in Dallas that you’d want to visit. Celebrity Chef Dean Fearing’s award-winning restaurant, Fearings is a must-try and with the variety of locations to try it, including the Rattlesnake Bar and some trendy outdoor dining options, you’ll find the perfect place to celebrate any occasion or just break bread with friends.Recommended for:
